Perfect place to relax , delightful views from the front of property out to sea , plenty of room within the property and a spacious front garden for soaking up the sun in with the family , would recommend this place for a family vacation. …
A lovely quiet spot just 30seconds from the sea front. Quality of furnishing really superior, White company towels and bed linen and very comfy beds. Warm and cosy when it pours with rain on a couple of days and nights!! Loved our stay. So much to do in the area and great being able to walk to so many beautiful and quiet beaches even in the height of school summer hols. Would definitely recommend. …
Lovely winter getaway
The cottage was so conveniently situated, had everything we needed. Very clean, spacious and well stocked. The view was breath taking and ever changing with the tides. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore the surrounding area and have relaxing space as well. …
Bryn Gwyn, Borth y Gest
Five star accomodation in a great location
We wanted somewhare big enough for our extended family Christmas break, including the dog, with handy walks & plenty of attractions to keep us entertained. The house sleeps 8, is very comfortable, warm with a very large kitchen diner and two lounges plus downstairs loo. In fact the accomodation is first class & has recently been refurbished, the only down side is a rather steep climb to the property which is wearing when transfering your stuff into the house. The local area was very attractive (even in inclement weather) with a nature reserve & several sandy beaches within walking distance. There is a bus sevice into Portmadog if required, but I found it just a easy to walk, where you can find all the usual amenities of a large Town including the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway stations which are well worth a ride on. Portmerrion, the Italionesk village, is also nearby & is also well worth a visit but beware they do not accept dogs. In fact I would say this properties location fulfilled everything we required. …
Bryn Gwyn and Tegfryn
Two quality properties with outstanding views.
I hired these 2 properties for an extended family party to celebrate a 50th and a 16th birthday, the groups ages ranged from 2 years to 72 years. These houses have been lovingly restored to provide 2 luxury holiday homes, furnished and equipped throughout with quality items. With everything provided for a very comfortable stay. Both properties were very clean and tidy.
The views from the properties are outstanding, even on cloudy March days! I hope to return sometime soon, a weekend just wasn't long enough to explore this beautiful area.
Thank you Jane for your helpfulness throughout the booking process. …
TY CHANDOS, coastal end-terrace cottage, pet-friendly, WiFi, in Borth-y-Gest
Fab cosy cottage
Loved it here. Cottage was very cosy once warmed up. Double bedroom and twin room. Everything we needed was in the kitchen apart from a dishwasher. Very short walk either down or up to the coastal path which takes you either onto Black Rock Sands beach or the beautiful Borth y Gest bays. Dogs loved it mountain and beach walks on the same day their life could not be better. …
Tegfryn, Borth y Gest
What a wonderful Christmas family holiday!
When I found Tegfryn online it looked lovely, but it exceeded our expectations. 8 members of my family wanted to get together for Christmas and we really found a wonderful place to stay! The house is large and comfortable, well equipped and warm for the winter.
Christmas meant a little extra luggage and we were feeling the climb up the hill after a couple of times up and down to the car, but all was forgiven when we were treated to the views the position affords, especially a couple of beautiful sunrises over the hills and harbour.
We all found the beds comfortable, plenty of room with two sitting rooms and enjoyed all the walks from the door. It's so peaceful here, and yet the convenience of Porthmadog's facilities were only a short walk or drive away and even though it was December we played on the beautiful beaches nearby. We'd love to return in the summer to see a different season in the area.
We can recommend the Moorings Bistro and Seaview Café & Bistro too, great food and a warm welcome, both only a short walk from the door.
We all agreed that we would stay here again in a heartbeat! …
