Very Good

“Perfect couples hideaway”

Reviewed 5 Feb 2017

Can`t speak highly enough of this magnificent lodge ! It is a true home from home. Set down a quiet lane and in a location that is so very tranquil and peaceful. We have now stayed here many times and never get tired of the fantastic views. Superbly equipped in every way you could wish with a lovely cozy feel. Many times have we settled to watch a film on the television but have found our eyes watching what is going on in the estuary and not being able to concentrate on the tele...five star +++

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for that great review and look forward to seeing you again.

“fantastic retreat”

Reviewed 20 Apr 2012

A truly outstanding place.Wondeful views over the estuary from almost every window. The owners were great and gave us tips on where to eat etc as well as providing us with wine and cake!!. Soo peaceful! With the availability of using the log burning stove it was some days difficult to motivate ourselves to leave the wonderful views & venture out!!!. Recommend you take wellies so you can walk along the sands and explore the rock pools at low tide. Downside -didn't want to leave

Owner's reply: Thanks for that lovely review and look forward to seeing you again soon.

“Fabulous property in a wonderful location!”

Reviewed 10 Apr 2012

This is without doubt the best self catering property we have ever stayed in! Spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Fabulous location. Wonderful wildlife and great area for walking. Many thanks to Danny and Lisa for all the little "extras" they left for us. Much appreciated. Thank you. Caroline and Kevin, Halesowen, West Midlands.

Owner's reply: Thanks for that lovely review and look forward to seeing you again soon.

“Outstanding country escape”

Reviewed 10 Jan 2012

We searched the dictionary to come up with the best word to describe our short stay at the Lodge: IDYLLIC is the best description we can apply. The Lodge is an ideal country getaway. The hours will go by as you watch the ebb and flow of the tide in the estuary, until the twinkiling lights of Porthmadoc make you realise a few hours have passed by. The trials and tribulations of everyday life will just float away as you relax into the pace of the place. Great views, wonderful wildlife and the mini-burner makes it a lovely romantic retreat.

Owner's reply: Thanks for that lovely review and look forward to seeing you again soon.

“Silence is Golden”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2011

What an amazing place in an amazing location. The Lodge is superbly equipped and we couldnt have wanted for anything more. The views are simply stunning and waking up in such a comfy bed and being able to lay there looking at the Water is wonderful. It is wonderful in this day and age to wake and only be greeted by the sound of Birds and nothing else. Have already booked for next year......:-)

Owner's reply: Thanks for that lovely review and look forward to seeing you again soon.

What an amazing place to stay. The location was just perfect and the lodge was extremely comfortable and well equipped. We stayed for New Years Eve and was just perfect.

“WOW WOW WOW What a View”

Reviewed 21 May 2011

The lodge is beautiful inside and out a perfect holiday hideaway. You can chill out on the patio, fish from the rocks at the bottom of the patio, go for a walk down the beach, bird watch it has it all in my opinion. So much so I have booked for a second visit for 2011. I recommended it to a friend whilst I was still there and she booked it and said exactly the same thing WOW.

Owner's reply: Thanks for that lovely review and look forward to seeing you again soon.
