“Spectacular” The chalet was compact but fully equipped with everything you might need, including all cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery and a TV and DVD player plus, a nice touch, a number of DVDs. The kitchen does not have a washing machine, but there is an outside launderette on site. It was nicely decorated inside and had a large outdoor decking overlooking the lake on the site. The 2 bedrooms had a double and 2 twin beds and were sizeable enough to cope with 4 adults, including storage wardrobes. The bathroom is small but functional and the shower works well, although the power cord is inside the towel cabinet next to the bath. Power is via an electric meter which is topped up before you leave, which, helpfully, can be done via the onsite shop. We were there during a hot spell and were out for most of the day so our £5 for the week may not be same for everyone. Only practical downsides are that the chalet's beautiful position by the lake means a steep walk back up the road from the shop or club and several steps down into the chalet so a minor concern for those with mobility issues. In addition, parking is difficult alongside the chalet, due to sloping grass banks, so you have to be back at right time to grab a slot in a lay-by practically opposite or a 5-car car park about 100 yards further on. There is also a wonderful outdoor swimming pool on site which has a combination lock to gain access and this can be obtained through reception everyday. The poolside restaurant opens in the evening for food and drinks and has a big TV screen. Route 66 Cafe opens from 8am till 1pm and 4pm till about 8 or 9pm. They make fantastic food which we took back to the chalet. The Cafe is next to a well equipped shop, but if there is something you cannot find, the garage about half a mile away (left out of the campsite) is also a good place. In all, we really had an awesome time at this campsite and would not hesitate to go back to the spectacular place and rebook this gorgeous chalet.

“Wow what an amazing house in a prime location” We stayed at The Gables in Oct, we were greeted on arrival by Mandy the lovely housekeeper who showed us around. The house is huge and absolutely beautifully equipped , no expense has been spared. Every thing was catered for even down to an egg cup. There is a well stocked CoOp in town and a small shop in walking distance. The hot tub was a hit even in October but then the weather was very kind to us . Over the garden wall is the fantastic beach and behind the house views of the Snowdonia National Park what more could you want , we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you

“A wonderful holiday location” Ideal holiday accommodation for a three generational family consisting of six adults and four children, on the sea front and on the Wales Coastal Path. Stunning coastal view to the south and to the west. The Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdonia National Park on the doorstep so many activities to choose from to keep all the family happy. The house is well equipped. There is enough room for everyone to be given space during the inevitable rough and wet weather which keeps all but the foolhardy indoors.

“Perfect” Managed to get a much needed 3 nights at Gest Oren. The old chapel is well equipped with everything you need. Take your own towels and a bath mat. Close to the beach and overlooking the golf course which is also nice to walk around in the evening. The chip shop is close by and is lovely also close to a shop for anything you need. We found the food at tafarn Glanaber very good and reasonable. A tip for you is put a couple of £ in the meter and see how you get on, I put £15 and left with over £9 when leaving. We will stay again and enjoyed our break away in Morfa Bychan.

“One of the best” My party and I have been holidaying for almost forty years now, and this was the best accommodation we have stayed in, it was roomy, well equipped, clean, with wonderful views. The owner Jon was brilliant, taking the trouble to sort things out due to Covid cancellations, the extra precautions he had taken to ensure our safety were excellent, many thanks to all concerned

“Delightful cottage and a bit of paradise” We had a warm welcome from Linda & some welcome gifts were left, a bottle of wine chilling, pint of milk, welsh cakes & jam. In the bedroom were white bathrobes & slippers & even chocolates left on our pillows. We arrived late in the afternoon so Linda made us her famous chicken tagine. The flavours were amazing & I even asked her for the recipe. Just what we needed after our 3 1/2 hours drive. The cottage was in the perfect location. Straight from the gate into the woods which our 2 dogs enjoyed immensely, beach was a 20 mins walk away. The Italian restaurant/takeaway "Tony's" was a 5 min walk and was excellent. The cottage was everything you could imagine from the pictures and the garden was stunning and well maintained. There was a 2 seater and an armchair which were both reclining. The chairs in the conservatory was most comfortable & we spent a fair time in there looking out into the garden. The hot tub was the icing on the cake for us, as we have had 5 dog holidays now & this property gave us all that we wanted & more. The wildlife in the garden which our dogs loved chasing the squirrels & we even seen a woodpecker. Thank you Linda.
