“Just wonderful.” Shaldon is a lovely Devon fishing village. If you want to stay in a lovely old thatched cottage with garden, BBQ and minutes walk from the estuary and ten mins walk to centre of village and sandy beach then Rooster Hall is for you. We loved it so much we have Re-booked for May of this year and will continue to come down. Highly recommended.
We have given 5 stars because this was ideal for us. The cottage layout was ideal for the two families and the dog. The location was was great for the village and general area. The garden is dog fr… More

“A relaxing break from it all.” The cottage was lovely situated close to the town but far enough away for a lovely peaceful stay. The cottage was fully equipped with everything you needed and was very clean. There are lots of things to do around the area and some fantastic dog walks with special mention for goodrington sands north that has a lovely beach open all year long . We will be going back to rose cottage and would advise people to stay here as its very good value .
“Great stay in Woolacombe” A wonderful cottage with wonderful views over Woolacombe beach. The owners responded almost immediately to a question regarding the booking and then kept us updated before the arrival. The cottage was well kept and great to sit at the front taking in the view. The walking guides provided helped us to take in some good walks and even spotting seals and dolphins.
“Fabulous!” Booked Oak Cottage for 12 of my family for a last minute get away at the end of the school holidays and we were not disappointed. Great room for all of us with no-one on airbeds! Fabulous kitchen diner with all the kit you would need for big family meals. Chill out lounge for the adults away from the kids and bedrooms with sinks in so no queues when teeth brushing. Cottage is set within a row of other holiday cottages but apart from one other dog walker we didn`t see anyone else so felt like we had it to ourselves. Loads of ducks and wildlife in the huge garden for the children to explore and the biggest treat was hand feeding barn owl chicks with the caretaker Simon. A great base for Dartmouth, Salcombe, Blackpool beach (the best) and Slapton Sands. The Tower pub was fab and had lots of character.
Would recommend this as a great base for a South Devon holiday.
“Excellent” Excellent position between the Royal William Yard, the Hoe and the shopping area. Large balcony area very relaxing and quite. kitchen, lounge, bathroom and bedrooms are very clean and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay in the apartment and would certainly book again.

“Lovely, cosy weekend stay” Wykeham Cottage is gorgeous - lovely rooms, beautifully kept. There is a log fire which, in February after a dip in the sea, was perfect.
Catherine and Toby were great to deal with, really easy.
The scones, cream and jam that were left out for us was a wonderful touch, and very welcome.
Would stay here again, thank you!
“Perfect Peaslands” The house has been extended and with the open-plan groundfloor gives excellent accommodation leading to a small outside area for dining and relaxing. All equipment and facilities provided, along with cookbooks. The house is in a great location with a few minute walk into Sidmouth. Parking was easy with plenty up the road in side road if we could not park right outside the house. The new Harbour hotel with Upper Deck restaurant and bar was a beautiful location with stunning views of the sea and cliffs. Service and food was excellent in the boutique style hotel and spa.We loved our spring weekend visit at Peaslands and would like to return next year.Thank you Bridget and Tim for a perfect break.

“Perfect place for a tranquil break in nature” Our stay at the Orlando suite was simple fantastic. Right from the point where I booked the place to the point I checked out, Geoffrey was a perfect host. The cottage is very well equipped with all the amenities and is extremely well planned out. One of the reasons we chose to stay here was that Dorset and Devon beaches are an easy drive from Sidmouth. The area in and around Sidmouth is full of beautiful beaches and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. I would highly recommend Orlando Suites to anyone looking for a nice tranquil break.

“Mrs” 2nd time we've stayed at Hydrangea Cottage, once again not disappointed.
Liz had left "many supplies", so there was no need to rush out to the shops, cottage was clean and lovely and warm, plenty of clean towels, bedding was freshly laundered.
Once again the family descended on us, but there was plenty of room, and plenty to do.
There are games/toys/books/dvd's, our 4 year old grandson remembered the toys from last year.
We managed to park the 2 small cars under the car port and main car parked behind.
There is additional parking in a car park behind the cottage less than 5 min walk.
A 5 day break was so reasonable, cheaper than a Premier Inn, there is plenty around the area and plenty within the town, we sampled the local Chinese/fish & Chips.
Bakery/Butchers less than 10 doors away.
We're already planning next years stay.
We rented this cottage for a delayed Xmas get-together - the family has outgrown our house in Seaton. When I explained this to Liz, the owner, she even offered to keep the Xmas tree up for us! She did… More

“Lovely Cottage in Lovely surroundings” My husband and I have stayed at this this cottage several times and really enjoyed our stays. The cottage is well presented with everything you need including washing machine and dishwasher. It's very quaint with modern amenities and always very clean, there are views over the gardens which are very pretty and peaceful. During our stay we visited Okehampton and Bude and have enjoyed walks on Dartmoor. It is situated just outside the village which has a great local shop and pub and a lovely fish and chip shop which we made use of. We will defiantly stay here again.
