Following a day on the beach head back to Landrake and use the heated outside shower to wash down the wetsuits while still enjoying the beach.

Open plan living allows for the full dining experience without leaving one of your party exiled to the kitchen. If you do wish to cater extended hobs and 3 ovens help ease the load .... or better still take the 15 minute drive to enjoy the excellent range of resteraunts available in Ilfracombe (recommendations on request).

The England region

North Devon has the complete package. Slightly more accessible for families coming down from other areas of the country North Devon boasts the coastline, the beaches the dining and the attractions. Within this setting Trip Advisor ranked Woolacombe's 3 mile beach the top UK beach destination for the second year running.

When you're done with the beach and water sports, the villages is surrounded by some stunning areas for walking and family picnics. Just up the hill we have the North Devon arena for budding skate enthusiasts and 6 miles takes you to the port town of Ilfracombe with some great restaurants pitched at all pocket levels. Trip Advisor currently lists over 100 (My favourite is La Gendarmerie. Although Damian Hirst's place is ok!)

Woolacombe

The house is on a very quiet cul-de-sac with every window to the rear boasting some of the best views in Woolacombe over the beach and sea to Lundy Island. From the end of the garden you are able to cross-the road and take the quiet valley footpath alongside the stream to the village and beach. This will take about 10 minutes.

For family parties, this means that you are not affected by some of the nightlife noise within the village, but are still only a stroll back if you choose to investigate some of the bars yourself.

House rules

The only thing we ask is that ladies don't wear stiletto heals inside the house. We have wooden floors throughout and they would be left permanently marked.
