Perryhill Farm Cottage
Lovely cottage, beautiful location
We stayed in early May in order to catch up with a couple of friends (all in our early 30s) who now live far away.
The cottage is well kept, with a lovely inglenook fireplace, all set up and ready to use. Beds and rooms were comfy, had a little supply of fresh eggs from the farm in the kitchen - very tasty! The farm is great if you like animals, which we do, so it was a novelty being able to be around so many. Beautiful horse that roams around in the yard, and some lovely friendly dogs. So nice sitting having meals in the little bench area behind the cottage on a sunny day. The surrounding countryside is beautiful too, especially on sunny evenings, and not far from local towns and beaches on the Jurassic coast. Both owners very friendly and chatty, informative but for the most part left us to enjoy ourselves in our own space.
We were a little worried we might have been a tad noisy one night after a couple of drinks, but the owners said they never heard us. As it turns out, even though the cottage is part of their house, it is well separated or soundproofed so there's not much noise transference.
All in all, it was a perfect little retreat for us to catch up and relax with our friends, we would definitely recommend, and will likely stay again! …
Peaceful back to nature luxury in idyll surroundings
A warm and friendly welcome from Heather & John, who made every effort to make sure we had a great time (even setting up badminton for our children to play!), especially as we were in the area to go fossil hunting and celebrate our son's 10th birthday...and we certainly did! Everything we needed was there and the whole experience was fantastic. A wonderful goodie box of locally produced food and drink was eagerly devoured (must be the fresh air). Children loved roasting marshmallows over the fire pit watching the stars then a quick hot shower before snuggling up in the well equipped yurt, playing cards. Gorgeous location off the beaten track but within easy reach of local beaches. A perfect break. Thank you so much....we'll definitely be returning! …

BULLS COURT HOUSE, pet-friendly, three floors, in Colyton
Gorgeous cottage in Devon
We spent a great weekend in this charming cottage, full of character which has been lovingly restored.
The sitting room and bedrooms are lovely and light and the furnishings, rich and warm. The quaint village is on your doorstep with some pretty and historic architecture and also some useful convenience stores and pubs. We went to a gorgeous beach just a 10-15 min drive away and the tram (which we didn't have time to use) looked like a fun adventure in itself and goes to a beautiful seaside town if you want to leave the car behind. …
