“Mrs” We had a great time here. 4 families with 6 children- rooms nicely spaced apart so felt like every one had their own space. Very well stocked kitchen in terms of utensils- we cooked a Christmas dinner so 2 ovens were really helpful. Great location for being able to walk into the Belper. Only negative we found was that the noise of people walking around the living room and kitchen floor on an evening was very loud for those rooms downstairs. Everything else though was perfect!
“Faultless” Although we only stayed over a long weekend at the Mistal we found the accomodation
everything we wanted it to be,the web photos not doing the "cottage" justice. A warm
welcome from our hosts completed a perfect stay.
“Lovely cosy bungalow” I stayed in this lovely bungalow for 10-days with my Canadian visitors (no space in my small flat).
The bungalow is very comfortable and cosy, very well furnished and maintained. It has a lovely secluded rear garden, a real sanctuary of tranquillity. The kitchen is very well equipped and there was coffee, tea, WINE and chocolate biscuits provided (happy face!). All in all it was quite brilliant, I really struggle to find fault. I would be more than happy to stay here again and to be live here.
“Absolutely fantastic” The above says it all really! Wonderful house, amazing pool, lovely garden. Our family stayed with 2 other families with children ages ranging from 6 to 18. The children were either in the pool or playing outside. - the extremely large tv was hardly used. In fact, it was so good we have already booked a second day next year.
Lovely 2 bedroom cottage with lots of character. We stayed at this cottage to attend our friends' wedding at Shottle Hall which was a short taxi ride away. Our host had kindly provided lots of information on nearby amenities which proved very helpful to us. This cottage provided a wonderful base for us however we did receive a note from the neighbour telling us to keep noise to a minimum as we had a late return from our festivities which must have inconvenienced them. Not a problem for us as we left the following morning but left a bit of a sour taste at the end of our stay. …

Relaxing and peaceful
The lodge was situated only 10mins drive away from Matlock where the heights of Abraham is situated where there is a cable car ride. Plenty of places to eat and walk.
The lodge was very comfortable, clean and warm with great views, Surrounded by fields with horses. The lodge is on a working farm but it was still quiet and private. The hot tub was a great bonus. We where met on arrival plus there was a welcome pack which made us very welcome, thank you Corrinne. We will be returning. Highly recommend for a peaceful break away. …
