“Gorgeous” A lovely short break for us and our dog. Beautiful property and surrounding area with helpful hosts.
We loved everything about our stay except the snow!! We would definitely recommend the Cruck Barn and wouldn’t hesitate to book again ourselves too.
“comfortable and welcoming, excellent location for touring” A lovely welcome from Rosie who made sure we were ok throughout our stay.
A comfortable place to rest our weary selves after each day visiting castles, stately homes and mills and tramway museums.
Frequently visited also by the chickens, cats and dog.
“Outstanding Property” Excellent views & surrounding area, well worth the booking. All rooms to high standard, very clean & comfortable. So relaxing that it gave a well deserved recharge of the batteries !!
Will highly recommend to friends & family.
“great space, served its purpose” Great space, lots of bathrooms, big kitchen, big dining room, big lounge, nice bar area-all well kitted out, nice hot tub and outside area, nice views.
Some areas are a little dated but generally clean and tidy.
Could have benefitted from being able to turn the heating down ourselves.
Cooking sunday dinner we did trip the electric but the owners were available on the phone to help immediately.
“Great getaway place” Really lovely cottage, clean, fully equipped with everything you need to get away from the city life. Be sure to try out the steam room, and the local pub Barley Mow for great food and atmosphere. Best to spend at least a week as the surrounding villages offer so much to see and do. Oh, and the kitchen is a dream come true for anyone who loves cooking! Definitely recommend!!
“Orchard cottage, Tansley” We rented Orchard cottage for a long weekend to catch up with family and celebrate my mums birthday. It is in a beautiful rural setting but with lots to do for all the family. The cottage itself is very spacious and very comfortable. Home from home with a well stocked kitchen and lovely dining area, there was nothing we missed having. We visited Matlock farm (5 mins drive away) and the Tramway museum in Crich (15 mins away) both of which were a great day out. Matlock is 5 mins drive away and there ate plenty of shops and restaurants there. I would really recommend this as a place to stay for anyone with or without children, ideally located for biking or walking breaks and plenty to do for families.
