Love love loved it
We stayed for a long weekend 31/03/17 - 03-04/17 and what a beautiful little cottage for my surprise birthday present - the fella did good :) It had everything we needed and more. Super cosy, super clean and super surroundings. The little extra's of milk in the fridge and especially the dog bowls, treats and towels (thankfully the towels didn't get used as the weather was also super) we thought were great. The neighbours were all really friendly as was everyone we met. It had everything on our doorstep, shop, butchers, pubs and restaurants and of course amazing walks. If you want fine dining then The Greyhound is your place, the food and staff were amazing. If you want pub grub, a few drinks and somewhere to relax with the very welcoming locals then The Boat Inn is your place, they particularly love dogs. To venture further afield I highly recommend Dovedale, absolutely stunning, also Hope Valley in Bamford. We will definitely be back and will be staying longer so we can visit the many places we couldn't fit in over 3 days - we totally fell in love with the area. Emma, Andrew, Pip & Penny …
Beautiful cottage in the Peak District, we all had a lovely time and would love to stay there again. …

BRILLIANT first experience booking a private let. Couldnt have asked for more!
Three of us stayed in the this lovely cottage for three nights over Easter weekend. We arrived to a clean and tastefully decorated home. The kitchen cupboards are well stocked and there is a convenient supply of toiletries if you forget any! The beds were very comfortable and the choice of pillows was great! The stairs are quite steep, so perhaps bearing in mind for people who struggle as the master bedroom is on the top floor. We walked (in less than 5 minutes) to the centre of Cromford and I can recommend the steak and ale pie at the Greyhound Pub. We went for a drink in the Boat Inn but did not eat here. Well placed for a gentle walk/stroll into Matlock Bath, and further into Matlock. Well located for a short drive to Bakewell, and Chatsworth. We stayed for 3 nights - we should've booked a longer stay as there's so much more to be explored around Cromford and it's surrounding areas. Great host and responds quickly to messages. If we visit the Peak District again, we would return to the cottage. …
