“Excellent Accommodation” Great location, close to Alton Towers , Haddon Hall & much much more.
Simply delightful cottage, lovely decor, all mod cons, Top views from the charming atrium.
Would highly recommend.
“Perfect New Years getaway” Very nice little cottage, perfect for me and my partner for our New Years getaway. Perfect location with restaurants and pubs very close by and other facilities available. Also perfect for plenty of walks to take in the views and the fresh air. Very nice cosy cottage and perfect for a romantic getaway
“Very relaxing, ticked all boxes.” Loved this cottage as it was very quaint. On arrival it was great to see a welcoming bowl of fruit on the large dining table with various jam and some really delicious biscuits. We didn't let the weather spoil anything as it did rain a lot. Shower was lovely and the cottage was warm and cosy. The double bed was really comfortable too. Cottage was easy to clean as it wasn't carpeted which was good having a golden retriever who sheds hair! I forgot to pack shampoo but again there was a supply of sachets in the bathroom. If I had to say anything negative it would be the toaster tray full with crumbs but I simply emptied it and most cottages we've stayed in I've had to do this, so just a small thing. If we wanted to do walks in this area again we would book the same cottage .
“Wonderful stay” I stayed here with my partner, mother, brother and 2 dogs. The accommodation is situated in a beautiful and tranquil location and perfect to escape the business of everyday life. However it is just a short distance from all local amenities such as the co-op, pub, cashpoint etc. There are also plenty of lovely strolls to go on (perfect for dogs) or if you don't fancy going far (or if you have an elderly dog) there is an enclosed paddock not far from the door to exercise your dogs in. We had a lovely stay and Robert the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I hope to stay here again in the future.
A lovely, characterful cottage in a pleasant location
We enjoyed a short break at this cottage in Wirksworth, in this very comfortable, clean, and characterful cottage, a good base to explore the surrounding countryside and close to towns like Matlock Bath and Cromford. I found the town of Wirksworth interesting and particularly enjoyed the heritage trains passing by along the railway line just behind the cottage, on the Sunday we were there, and a short walk over the level crossing, up Gorsey Bank, to the church and Providence Mill, from where you have lovely views down the valley towards Wirksworth and beyond. …
