“Beautiful Bude Stay!” Green Park Farm offered us the best holiday on the Devon/Cornwall border that we could have imagined! We stayed as a group of 9: 4 adults and 5 children aged 5-10. The farm house was immaculately clean on arrival, very spacious and comfortable and Alison and her family were the perfect hosts, allowing us the space and time to explore our surroundings and for the children to satisfy curiosity at the farm. Tractor rides went down a treat later in the week! The cakes on arrival were a welcoming touch, and the house was well kitted out for a self catering break with all we needed and more including books for the children and plenty of fresh towels. A particular highlight was the litter of puppies on the farm who gave us endless hours of fun, all the dogs were friendly and was great to see happy healthy dogs loving their environment. So much so that we ended up taking home our own little pup and so the memory of Green Park will live on for years to come! Thank you to Alison and her family for being so accommodating and really hope to return with “Bude” the dog over the next few years!

“Great location!” This was our second stay at Red Rose Cottage, we love the location, just two minutes from the town centre and a couple of minutes more from the sea. An easy walk to the Manor Pavilion Theatre, the cinema, The Loft, who do a great full English breakfast and an amazing Indian restaurant. The cottage is warm, very comfortable and well equipped, we had a great holiday! Thank you.

“Perfect break” This accommodation cannot be faulted! Well presented, well maintained and perfect location for us. The little personal touches were very thoughtful. In our party were 2 60 year olds, 2 30 year olds and a 16 month old. Our 16 month old loved the garden. We will definitely be looking to return next year. Thank you for a great stay!

“Peace and quiet” A spotlessly clean, compact comfortable space to relax, unwind and sit back in. Host was absolutely lovely. Walk to the coast, Woodlands, generally explore with a sturdy pair of boots on and the map available in the cupboard by the window. All I could hear was birdsong and the wind in the trees...oh and a distant tractor. Absolutely the perfect place to rest and breathe.

“Perfect Venue for a stag” This was a perfect venue for a stag or a large group holiday. The barn is huge with loads of room to play games and burn off some energy. We had 20 of us and there was more room than we needed. There is all the facilities you need from loads of games equipment, large kitchen, dining room and lounge that could all accommodate the 20 of us. There was so much room we didn’t leave the barn for the two nights out because we had everything we needed there. The rooms finish is basic but perfectly comfortable and the fact you have a separate toilet and shower per room proved very useful. Derek is really accommodating and the remote location is both beautiful and quiet so you don’t feel guilty making noise. Derek doesn’t mention much about the outside space, which he should as there is a great patio, lawn area and bbq with beautiful views over the fields. So basically I couldn’t recommend it enough for an active holiday or stag/hen event.

“Ideal accommodation in this perfect part of Devon” This was the 2nd holiday we had at Cotmore Barn and we didn't think it would be possible to enjoy it more than before, but we did. The barn is spacious, comfortable and well appointed so that you have everything you could need for a self-catering stay. The patio is well placed for sunny meals, from breakfast to dinner, with a parasol if shade is required. We ate here every day, enjoying the tranquil surroundings and bird activity. This is a truly lovely part of Devon. The coast line is dramatic, with delightful blue coves for swimming and sandy beaches for exploring. Whether walking the coastal path or taking a more relaxed approach, the scenery is wonderful. Cotmore is situated so you feel far enough away from it all but within easy reach of nearby towns and picturesque villages. Local ferries provide access to Agatha Christie's home and the Dart estuary; both are beautiful. There is plenty to see, lost villages, lighthouses, maps of shipwrecks, etc, etc. For a 'Famous Five' style holiday, nowhere could be better and Cotmore Barn is the perfect place to be located where Piers and Sue Spence will ensure a warm welcome and a generous sharing of their lovely surroundings.

“Amazing home away from home with great views and space for the full family.” I booked this fairly last minute for a much needed change of scenery once lockdown restrictions looked to be easing and it couldn’t have worked out better. The house is stunning and perfectly functional for a young family. We were 3 adults and 2 kids; 6 and 4 years. It’s a lovely open plan, clean, well maintained, fully kitted house with a great garden. Plenty of toys, kid friendly board games and garden games to entertain little people in rainier or non beach days. The house is in a great location and easy walking distance to Westwood Ho! town and the local beach but also easy access to A39 to get to Saunton Sands and Croyde. Lucy‘s Comms via email and text were quick, super friendly and very helpful. We already miss the view from the kitchen and deck!!!! Already looking for when we can plan in another visit.

“Can't wait to go back :)” We stayed at primrose house just after Easter for a week. My husband is from ilfracombe and we visit family a few times a year but this year my sister and grandson joined us and our 3 kids so we decided to rent a house and my goodness we booked a brilliant house, not just as a base but perfect for lazy mornings and relaxing evenings. It is so spacious that our local family could visit us too. The house is gorgeous and is done to a high specification, the location is brilliant. We especially loved the top floor bathroom. The attention to detail was brilliant and Caroline made sure we had a high chair and travel cot for our youngest son. The games, books and toys kept the others so amused that the tv was hardly on at all all week. We can't wait to stay here again. The view when you open every bedroom curtain is worth staying for on its own, even watching the morning mist is peaceful. I would definately recommend primrose house to anyone visiting ilfracombe. As long as its not when we want to book :)

“A charming cottage in an ideal location” Full of character this inverted two storey home is a delight to stay in. Having bedrooms below the living accommodation works well, allowing for better views from above. The owners are to be congratulated on fitting out and restoring a delightful old village cottage which has lots of history.
