“Perfect house for families to share” Where to start reviewing our stay at Midsomer House, we were a group of three families; 6 adults and 7 children from 0-7. When looking for somewhere to stay with our Spanish friends I wanted something close to lots of things, spacious enough to not get on each other nerves, and that could be a refuge should we get normal British summer weather (aka rain). I can safely say that this house is this and so much more. Firstly the bedrooms, we used 5 out of the 6 rooms and had space for more. There are 3 showers upstairs, 2 toilets and comfortable warm beds. If that wasn't enough every room has a clock radio that some of the children enjoyed dancing to. Downstairs the 2 living rooms gave us adults our own space while the children could play with the plentiful toys and games provided in the other living room, or watch one of the many DVDs, or a movie on the Sky TV (in every room). The kitchen was where we spent most of our time and all of us fitted around the giant table, and a high chair was kindly provided. The range cooker was amazing, there was a downstairs cloakroom and the dishwasher and washing machine were a godsend (and tablets were provided). It was a really nice surprise when we arrived that the fridge was stocked with milk, bread and butter. The games room wasn't really needed during our stay thanks to the weather but we did fit in one game of pool on our last night. As a geek I am amazing by the technology in the house. Hive heating, touch screen weather info in the kitchen, WiFi throughout the house and SKY TV in every room. This is my dream home. However it didn't stop there, outside was amazing. The enclosed garden was much loved by the children, so much in fact that getting them to go out was difficult. They loved playing on the trampoline, the climbing frame and in the playhouse. For adults the hot tub was amazing and so needed after getting the children to bed. To top all this off the BBQ lodge was so easy to use and we had a lovely BBQ birthday party for my 1 year old daughter. Nearby there is so much to do, we did a day out to Wooky Hole (using clubcard points), a day in Bath, a trip to Peppa Pig World (1hr 30 mins), a day in the house, and on the last day an amazing morning at Farringtons play barn (5 mins away). Brett (the owner) was responsive to all queries before the stay and after we arrived I emailed him to ask about some bedsheets and he phoned me 5 minutes later from Spain. All in all amazing, I am sure my Spanish friends will review this too. I would recommend this to everyone and I would love to stay here again in the future.

“Beautiful house with all the mod cons, in a quiet street just minutes walk from the centre of Bath” Beautiful house with all the mod cons, in a quiet street just minutes walk from the centre of Bath. Stayed for two nights in April and the house was fantastic. Two double bedrooms a large kitchen and lounge along with a large back garden. Everything you could want. I would recommend to anyone and would stay there again next time I am in Bath.

“A snug convenient cottage.” Three of us stayed in the cottage over a long weekend. Meredith gave us a friendly welcome and showed us round. The cottage had been pre-stocked with eggs, cereal, milk, coffee, tea and so on. It is very well furnished with comfortable beds. The cottage is on a lane with very little traffic and we found it very quiet apart from the ocassional passing late night reveller. We liked the cottage very much and are planning to re-book for a return visit. It's central location is really convenient (two minutes walk from the main street). The stairs are quite steep which wasn't a problem for us but could be for some.
