“Lovely house, very well equipped and comfortable, great location” We are a family of eight, made up of three generations. The style of the house flowed beautifully for us all. Well equipped with everything you could need. Great location, near to the City of Wells. We will definitely return.
“Lovely cottage, great location.” We stayed at 2 Lorne place for a week in August this year. The cottage had recently been decorated and re-equipped so everything was literally brand new (some utensils even still had the labels on!) The cottage is really nicely finished, well appointed and the owners have been very thoughtful in catering for guests needs, right down to fresh flowers and wine waiting on arrival.
It is a 1/4 mile near flat walk to the Cathedral green, and a further few hundred hards into the town centre, so the cottage is ideally located for a stay in this beautiful city. Parking is sufficient for one small car, and alternative parking places are suggested in the rental notes.
Great cottage, and should we return to Wells we would be looking to stay here again!
“Lovely Cottage!” Stayed 3 days at the cottage at Ford Farm. It is a lovely place, decorated and equiped to a very high standard. Tina the owner is friendly and helpful. She gave us lots of information about places to go and to eat. The location is ideal for exploring the area and we visited Wells, Glastonbury, Cheddar, Salisbury and Wedmore. Great little break! Would be great in any season.
“Great Holiday!” My husband and I stayed at the cottage at the beginning of March. The support Chris and Viv provided from before we arrive until we left was excellent. The cottage is beautiful (with an enclosed outside patio which we enjoyed), impeccable, well equipped and in a beautiful, peaceful spot. All the info you need to know about Wells and the surrounding areas is provided thru brochures and hand-written notes, which you will find at the cottage. We managed to walk around the town of Wells and Bath (both beautiful). We had a great time! We will recommend it without hesitation and hopefully will be able to come back soon...there's a lot more we want to see and many things to do.
We had a great time! Thank you!

I know it's a cliche but it's a real home from home. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. A perfect location for exploring Wells and its surroundings. Hope to go back at some point. …
Beanacre Barn - "What a find!" near Wells Somerset
From start to finish, absolutely loved it. We received a very warm welcome, and were made to feel at home. The facilities were a cut above the rest and we wanted for nothing. The area and surroundings are amazing and so stunningly beautiful. The gardens surrounding the two buildings are spectacular and the abundance of really tasty apples is amazing. …
Really enjoyed my stay here. The property was immaculate and really cosy. Great location for exploring the Mendips, Wells, Glastonbury and Bath. Owners nearby were lovely as well. Hope to visit again soon. …

The Green House
A lovely gem of a place
We spent a great three days in Wells, helped by the stay in this lovely cottage. Clean, warm and with everything needed for a few days stay. The Green House is just a few minutes walk away from the centre of Wells and with lots of places to eat/takeaways/pubs etc close by.
We loved walking round the city and hearing music streaming out of windows of the school buildings as the pupils practised various instruments. The Bishops Palace gardens were delightful to walk around and we caught the Wednesday market . It was great to find a traditional English market selling local farmers produce as well as bags, crockery, carpets, books, plants and all sorts! …
2 Lorne Place
This is a compact well located cottage close to the centre of Wells. In a cold January week it was cosily warm and the WiFi excellent. The parking space is tight and seems to be shared so not regularly available.
It is well equipped but needs some minor diy. The outside light and internal stair lights didn’t work, a door handle to one of the bedrooms fell off repeatedly as did a vertical rail on the heated bathroom towel rail. On arrival the unemptied bathroom bin was unpleasant as was the out of date milk in the fridge.
These are just details and easily corrected. It’s a good inexpensive cottage. …
