The cottage was wonderful, decorations throughout where tasteful and stylish. Our favourite bits were the under floor heating in the kitchen, the super deep bath and a wonderful log burner.
The house was fully equipped with everything you would need for a week: from fire lighters to dishwasher tablets. The cottage was immaculately clean it looked brand new.
There are two great pubs in walking distance The White Lion and the Packhorse, you will need to book in advance at weekends and during peak season.
Bakewell is very close, either a short drive or a nice walk along the Monsal Trail.

The cottage does not have allocated parking, and parking near the cottage in the village in the peak season could be difficult.
We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely recommend the cottage …

Great house, perfect spot for big groups
There were 22 of us for a family get together to celebrate what would have been our Mum and Granny's 92 birthday. We wanted space, good facilities for outdoor pursuits, easy to get to and a beautiful position. Cliff House fulfilled all the criteria-beautiful scenery, great walking, golf close by, Chatsworth on the doorstep. The house is spacious, warm and well equipped and we could all sit around the table (bit tight but no one cared). The bedrooms are very comfortable, plenty of hot water, well equipped kitchen and seating to sprawl on. The Mensal Hotel and pub are 3/4 minutes walk. The weather wasn't great, we had storm Abigail but that didn't spoil the enjoyment. …
