“A lovely, relaxing holiday in a gorgeous French gite” This is the first time that we have stayed in a rental cottage in France and we weren't disappointed. The contact with the owners before our stay was short and sweet and then everything was arranged for us when we got there. We were met by a lovely French man who spoke great English and showed us round the house. The house is spacious, decorated with traditional French furniture and has everything you would need on holiday: dishwasher, satellite TV (the house has two dishes so if we wanted to we could have watched channels from all over Europe.;-). It is immaculately clean and there was even a little welcome pack left there for us. Oh and the firplace is huge. It must be 3 metres across. So romantic. Even though the weather was warm , we lit a couple of fires just to get the full effect! The garden is huge and well kept. We often took walks around it in the evenings listening to the crickets and birds. Simply wonderful. The summerhouse is the best feature. We spent most evenings in there. It has a great built-in bar-b-q. We love to ride so we explored the surrounding countryside on most days. We found a cave and a waterfall and all sorts of gorgeous little French villages where we often stopped for a cafe au lait or a French pastry. Just nothing to complain about. The perfect, relaxing holiday. We had a wonderful time. We would love to go back one day.

“Glayva Cottage Lochcarron” The property was well appointed generally however there were some areas which needed improvement. In particular, a shower to the en-suite would have been helpful, the furniture in the lounge was tatty and not comfortable, the TV was too small, it would have been useful to have more mirrors particularly on the ground floor. The mirrors that were in place upstairs were badly positioned and not big enough in the main bathroom. On a positive note, the owners responded quickly when we contacted them on a minor issue. The location is good for the local shop and bistro. Walking is good in the area with a variety of fitness levels. The views from the property are stunning from all of the front windows.

“Wonderful place to stay close to city centre.” Brilliant time living in comfort in the forest by the sea for a week. Beautiful garden with beautiful views, walks and cycle rides to the beach, where swimming even in late May is just possible! Couldn't wish for more from Bjorn in making us feel totally welcome and helping in every way.

“Beautiful place” Very nice place, very clean charming and authentic house with panorama view to mountain, extremely beautiful garden and big swimming pool. The food that Gussepina prepared for us was delicious! The only one thing about which renters should be aware is that there is lower temperature than in cities down (5-6C)

“Living the good life in Clifden” Wow! From initial contact with the owners to renting to checking in with the house minder, we had a terrific experience. But wait, that's nothing compared to actually living in Cuach Cottage. This lovely cottage is everything we expected and more. Comfortable and extremely clean home was well-stocked and beautifully decorated with everything we needed. Stunning setting just outside the town included trout stream, great patio with view of Twelve Bens, our own cows and sheep just outside the fence. We hope to return to Cuach Cottage soon!

“truely spacious penthouse in fabulous location” This penthouse is in a perfect location for shops on your doorstep, fresh coissants in the morning and the supermarket around the corner. The medieval town is about a 10 minute walk over the old bridge with lots of beautiful sights to see. The penthouse is light and airy with a big roof terrace where you can see the rooftops of Carcassonne. The owner Sophie is very helful and attentive. Look no further as this is truely value for money !!There is only one drawback, no lift when you arrive with your suitcase !

“Pure perfection... a little bit of heaven!” As serial 'holiday renters' for the past fifteen years, we have stayed in many properties throughout Ireland, Austria, France, Scotland, Spain and Portugal...but this tops them all! It's the first one that the kids said I should buy!! We (2 adults, 3 children) spent a week at the house during april and it was pure escapism. The house is a new-build and very well finished with all the comforts you could possibly desire. The accommodation was very clean and we settled right in, it is a very large house on a large plot and therefore everyone in the family managed to find their own space to escape to, whether it was indoors or outdoors. Incidentally, the property has great entertaining space, we did not make full use of it's potential but we did have a beautiful supper on the patio. All of the above and marry that with the magnificent location of this property, the Lake and rolling hills on your doorstep... I had a book to read during our stay but spent most of my time distracted by the view, gazing out of the large panoramic window in the lounge! Our host for the week was Kathleen, she was fantastic providing a very warm welcome and with her knowledge of Waterville & Co. Kerry we very quickly had a comprehensive to-do list. Derrynane, a walk along Waterville beach and driving the Ring are a must. All in all a truly wonderful property in a very special setting, our only disappointment was having to hand the keys back at the end of our stay! We will certainly be returning.

“Perfect” We spent one week in la lierre. Everything was perfect. The apartment is extremelly well decorated and has beautiful views over the mountains and the countryside. The owners were very helpful and gave us plenty of suggestions on what to do and where to go. They even gave us fresh eggs from their chicken! Delicious!!! Ah! Writing this comment brings me back such nice memories! :-) We highly recommend it!!

“Beautiful apartment and area” We spent a week at Country and Lake and found it very relaxing. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and two teenagers, 15 and 19. The apartment is located within cycling distance of Edam. It was very clean and well furnished with fresh flowers in the lounge and bedroom on our arrival. The views from the master bedroom are fantastic with windows on every side. Lovely to watch the sunrise over the lake and sunset over the fields. We had use of the hot tub and sauna which is a shared area but we did not see anyone else in this space whilst we were there. The outside area was beautiful with far reaching views. There are horses and cows/calfs in the surrounding fields. The farmer trains his horse whilst the sun is setting which is a lovely way to spend the evening. The garden is very green with many flowers and both relaxing wooden arm chairs and a large table and chairs to eat at. One slight criticism would be that there is only one large bed and the other two beds were sofa beds which were fine for the children but if it was four adults sharing the space it would have been a problem. Edam is a beautiful town, and we did think it was the prettiest place that we visited although the other towns are lovely too. We went on a windmill drive which was very interesting. The food in the Netherlands is very good and both the adults and teenagers found it delicious. Bringing some Edam cheese home is a must! Overall, a lovely relaxing stay and I would highly recommend Saskia & Onny's apartment. They are friendly and helpful on arrival and during the stay. “I wanna back to there and wanna try winter as well” I, together with friends and family, have been twice there. It is one of the best places I had stayed in Lapland. You can have friends with different interests and, given they like the nothern nature, they find whatever they want: hiking, kayaking, fishing, meditating, picking up mushrooms, enjoying silence and peace, etc. When you get tired and get back to Stora Bjornstugan at night, you will get what you need for a comfortable rest: all possible kitchen facilities, big living room, a fire place, sauna, water in all rooms, two toilets, grill, and, if something is missing, you will definitely get help of Lisbet and Pablo. The cabin is equipped with everything for an enjoyable rest. As I know, in the winter time there is a lot to do as well and I'd like to come to there for some time during the winter.

“Beautiful view in a beautiful little town” The simply furnished apartment is situated atop a mountain which means it has a great view of the lake. It's a 15 minute walk to the the city center so it offers plenty of privacy. The walk back up is a bit steep, but a taxi is less than 10 euros back, if you prefer not to drive into the center. The apartment has all the necessities - wifi, cable, dishwasher, towels, sheets, and a place to lounge on the balcony. There are a few american-Euro adapters laying around the place too, in case you forgot to bring your own. It's well taken care of and there were no problems getting in touch with the owner. Definitely would recommend this apartment to people looking to have a relaxing weekend, a place to lounge, and great food.

“A perfect getaway from our crazy world” This was our second visit to Rowan Cottage and even more deeply enjoyable than our previous visit in 2011. It is a marvellous location for chilling out and exploring south Loch Ness-side. It has everything we need for a self-catering holiday - good facilities for cooking, for washing and drying, and for watching our Dvds - but also a sense of remoteness so we can get away from the usual rat-race of urban living. There is an excellent village shop and cafe a couple of miles away in Foyers, and a large range of facilities (supermarkets, petrol station, restaurants) in Fort augustus, 16 miles to the south (but a very pleasant 16 miles as the usually quiet road winds its way through and over hills south of Loch Ness). Foyers and Fort augustus are also great places to view the Loch. The old Foyers Pier is accessible by road and gives good views of the middle part of the Loch and especially Foyers Bay, where boats travelling along the Loch often anchor for a while. Fort augustus is even better with Caledonian Canal providing both a small and well-used harbour, and a grand spectacle as boats travelling beyond Loch Ness travel up and down the staircase of locks that is the village centre. This time we were blessed with warm sunny weather - indeed at times too hot. But that weather added to the sense of relaxation in that we did not have to worry about heating or warm clothes, and could enjoy the Cottage's wonderful veranda. This has an indoor and outdoor section so you can choose where best suits you to sit at any time - and then read or sleep or just watch the marvellous view across the woods to the mountains north of the Loch. The great weather meant that we could sit on the veranda and watch the sunset (it faces west) whilst drinking something suitably Scottish. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Rowan Cottage and are already thinking on opportunities to visit again. We can strongly recommend it as place to escape and relax.
