“Perfect little hideaway” Great bungalow to stay in opposite Pannett Park. Fabulous view of the park from the conservatory. Little snicket up the road takes you to town by Bagdale Hall. Plenty of room and extremely quiet place to stay. I would go back in a flash.

“Very well equipped, extremely comfortable cottage in a lovely location.” Pleasant walks along rural lanes, nearby beaches, historic sites and Country Houses/Gardens all within easy reach. The owner is extremely knowledgable about the area as well as very friendly and welcoming. Nearby pub serves good food if you want a rest from cooking in the kitchen which is fully equipped with everything one could need.Abundant wild life to watch in surrounding grounds, also plenty of activities are provided for children. Three visits so far - and there will be more.

“Christmas 2019” After the passing of 2 relatives last Christmas we decided to try something new and stay away. We were not disappointed in the slightest. Very spacious, 8min walk from the beach, huge back garden. I would highly recommend going here and would look at doing so ourselves in the summer

“Best of all worlds - sea, sand, rocks, country, house and garden” We are a family of five ranging from teenager to young son. The area and property are well described and well presented. Parking easy - we arrived on the August bank holiday weekend. Good use of space and well equipped house with decent garden. The owners provide useful information and a pleasant welcoming touch. It feels as if they genuinely care that people will enjoy their home. Despite variable weather there was never a dull moment. The area is well frequented but not over-busy. Dining out may require patience or booking early and there is enough choice to go somewhere different each day. We enjoyed eating in the house using the excellent facilities. There is a gadget for everything! When the big TV with DVD and Wii is on occupying the kids and mum is well into one of the many jig-saws provided dad would creep out into the back garden to read and sip on a glass of wine on the warm sheltered patio. Beds were clean and comfortable - not too soft - and one of the bathrooms has an installed TV with floor lights (much to the delight of my older daughter). I guess a good place to unwind in the bath with a bottle of champagne (but no such luck with our kids around!). The beach is very easy to get to (just take care when crossing the road) and the rock pools are fantastic. Opportunities for photography and crabbing in between jumping/surfing the waves. BBQ possible on the beach if weather permits. Pleasant local walks. Bude easy to get to where there are several supermarkets and other eateries. Would go again.

“Great apartment and location” We stayed here for 10 days in early Sept. Booking the apartment was easy and the description was very accurate. The apartment looks like it has been recently renovated to a very high standard with marble and high quality fixture and fittings. On arrival we had been left fresh bread, butter, cheese, fruit juice, milk and tea which was a lovely and thoughtful touch, and very much appreciated. The apartment was perfect for my wife and I who wanted the privacy and peace to relax, sunbathe and enjoy the sun, but to be close enough to the old town and to restaurants/supermarkets on foot, and have the ability to stay in occasionally and cook and dine on the terrace overlooking the marina. The apartment is in a residential neighbourhood so is quiet but is only a 10 minute walk to the old town. The apartment is on the 1st floor, up some steps, and there are a few hills involved in getting to the old town, and in the old town itself, which was great to burn off our holiday excesses. Less than 2 minutes away from the apartment is a small commercial centre with the letting agents offices, a café, restaurant Saffron, supermarket and charity shop! You can get free wifi from the restaurant or you can hire internet from Lesley at the agents offices for a reasonable cost. The marina again is a 10 minute walk and there are bars and cafes there too, The apartment had maid service a couple of times which we weren't expecting but a welcome addition. The bathroom had dual sinks, bath, large shower and was done to a high standard, with a hair dryer. The kitchen had all amenities, cooker, hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, fridge freezer with ample crockery and cutlery. The lounge again was tastefully done with dining table, sofabed, TV and DVD, and stereo with MP3 port. There was also an ironing board and iron in the hallway cupboard. The bedroom and hallway cupboard had ample storage. There are 3 patio doors in the lounge and bedroom and all have electric shutters which make you feel even more secure. The terrace is huge and is in the sun all day until sunset, and on your sunbeds, you have total privacy. I have to try hard to critique this apartment as it was fantastic, but if I was pushed, I would say that the BBQ hadn't been cleaned from the previous occupants, a couple of the pans are past their best and the bed and mattress were not as high quality as the rest of the apartment. This is the first time we've hired an apartment and we are so grateful to have found one of such great quality, it made our holiday fantastic and we will be sure to hire apartments again. Other points to note about the location: 1. Do not do the albufeira open top bus tour, absolute waste of 15 euros/person and 2hrs as the most interesting points are roundabouts.... 2. Do go to the commercial centre nearby, see Lesley in the CerroNovo office, she is very nice and helpful, Café Girrasol is great and many of the locals go there and are very friendly. 3. Travessa is a restaurant in the old town in the lanes, it offers a 3 course meal and 1/4 litre of wine for Eur10.00 and it is great quality food. 4. Buddys restaurant in the main square has amazing food too. 5. In the apartment under the TV is a useful guide, we didn't find it until day 4 and it is filled with lots of useful info. 6. Never trust the weather forecast, it said rain most days and it rained once briefly as we were leaving. 7. Restaurant 54 has great views of the sea and great seafood. It has 3 floors so don't be put off if it's busy downstairs. Hope this review helps. Thanks again to Lesley and Allan for all your help.

“Excellent Value for Money” The cottage is really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The property on arrival was really clean and bed linen / towels immaculate. A very high standard. We were a party of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a westie dog. We all found the accommodation to meet our needs in full. There is plenty room to have your own space should you need it and the kitchen is a great space to eat together. Everything works and in excellent order - the views are fabulous. Plenty parking and garden is great. From the moment we made the availability check / booking to returning home, the owner David was so helpful and speedy in his reply. We would have no hesitations returning to Glendale Cottage. Even if the weather is not so good, with the fire on, it is so homely. Broadband speed is really great too! The en suite and bathroom are clean. A great week in Skye - made great by Glendale Cottage. A game of pool and a drink at the Taigh Ailean Hotel is a must. We did not eat there but what was served looked good.

“Beautiful” We had such a lovely, relaxing time at Ael-Y-Bryn. The house is beautiful with spectacular views. We were there for a week and it felt like a month. The beach is right on the doorstep and the town is only a couple of minutes walk away. The restaurants and shops are great and supermarkets are just a short drive away. I can't wait to go again.

“Brilliant Cottage, Amazing location, very good experience” The cottage is beautifully located just adjacent to a forest behind the cottage. We could see a Stag in the outside of one of our bedrooms once .. A beautiful fireplace to top it all up. The place though in middle of wilderness, has internet access and all modern amenities. I will definitely recommend this place to one and all and will myself try to visit it again and again.

“Excellent accommodation and friendly hosts” Just returned from a wonderful week at Highlea! Dennis and Doreen are so friendly and accommodating, they went the extra mile to make us feel welcome; such as homemade cake on arrival and letting our son use their trampoline. The bungalow had everything you could need, was well laid out, clean and comfortable making it home from home! Beautiful rural surroundings made it the perfect base to explore Dorset. Would highly recommend!

“cosy in clifden” We rented Laura's house in August this year with my 6 and 4 year old. The weather was particularly dreadful, unusually for that time of year, and the house was a welcome retreat from the wind and rain. It was spacious, warm, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It was a short walk to the centre of Clifden and a short walk to the start of the greenway which is absolutely beautiful. The views from the house were spectacular and it was lovely to be so close to town yet feel like you were far away from it. The location also allowed us explore beaches Ballyconnelly and Roundstone as well as Cleggan and Claddaghduff the kids felt right at home and having Netflix helped on the very wet days. we would definitely rent it again and would recommend it without hesitation. perfect location and very well kept.
