“Excellent,relaxing Whitby retreat.” Arrived on time, to be greeted and made to feel welcome right away. After a quick introduction, and a couple of pointers, we were left to discover our accommodation ourselves, and what a great place it is. Exceptionally clean, well lit and warm, with a very well stocked set of kitchen appliances, and utensils. The bedrooms and bathroom are equally well thought out, and clean. Everything seems brand new. This is a perfectly situated place to stay if you want peaceful surroundings, yet easy to reach places of interest, and the next few days were spent walking and visiting Whitby and surrounding areas, with Radford's butchers in Sleights getting two visits, as there fillet steaks are out of this world!!!. Altogether a lovely holiday hideaway, within easy reach of more lively areas that we would definitely come back to.

“Couldn`t ask for better!” We couldn`t ask for more, the accommodation was excellent, peaceful, and secure. The Park and Ride was only a short walk away so hardly needed to use the car and the walks were lovely.We were made to feel so very welcome on arrival. Everything we needed was there, ( including the milk and wine!) . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

“Beautiful Cottage, Beautiful Location” We were thrilled when we arrived at Tremodrett Cottage to see how lovely everything was and how thoughtfully the place had been furnished . The spec is very high , as explained in the description with us not needing for anything during the whole stay. Everywhere was perfectly clean , the cupboard s stocked with household essentials like dishwasher tablets etc. Small jars of tea, coffee and sugar were left - milk in the fridge. Also greatfully received the lovely biscuits and bottle of wine ! We will definitely be returning next time we come down to Cornwall .

“Fantastic barn conversion” A lovely barn conversion, spotlessly clean and all that is required for a self catering break. We stayed for 4 nights and Kev was great at getting the house ready for us at such short notice as our camping trip turned into a fiasco! House is in a great location and our boys enjoyed being able to go swimming in the outdoor pool. Would definitely return.

“Perfect rural get away, a beautiful dog friendly cottage set in the Yorkshire Dales” Our family of 4 adults and our dog had a wonderful weekend at Orchard View. The cottage is beautiful and comfortably accommodated us all. Its clean and modern but still really cosy and really well equipped. Stephen the owner was responsive to messages prior to our arrival and welcoming during our stay. There are walks that you can take from the cottage or many places within a short drive. We definitely hope to visit again

“Lovely modern home, easy to find, definitely would return with family or friends. Suits everyone!” Great weekend celebrating my birthday. The house had everything we needed and more from a fully equipped kitchen to a box full of games and DVDs. We loved the undercover decking area with the sunken colour changing hot tub surrounded by plenty of lights which lit up in the area when the sun set... We didn't want to leave!

“A wonderful weekend in this beautiful barn!” My partner and I spent last weekend in this gorgeous Oxfordshire barn. It was a wonderful weekend of relaxation and romance and a much needed chance to unwind from our usual busy schedules. Although it was cold and wintery outside, we couldn't have been more cozy, spending the evenings cuddled up in front of the state-of-the-art log burner. We also very much enjoyed cooking on the AGA and I would definitely suggest a soak in the gorgeous two person metal bath!! The Long House has such a warm atmosphere, the perfect location for our weekend away. It has been thoughtfully and tastefully furnished and we were more than comfortable for the duration of our time here. I cannot recommend it more highly!!

“A dream come true!” We were a group of 8 family members and we all amazed with how beautiful & peaceful La Vinca is. We saw the photos online but experiencing it in person was just amazing. The house is beautifully maintained and is equipped with everything you need. The property; surrounding fruit trees, gardens and pool are also well maintained and manicured. It's always been a dream to stay in a Tuscan farm house and be immersed in the beauty of it all, and La Vinca did not disappoint - in fact it exceeded our expectations. It is exactly out of a story book or film. The owner, Ilario, is very friendly and came round on our first day to introduce himself. He came round a few days later to see if everything was still ok but otherwise we had the privacy to enjoy his property without interruption. We have family who live in Lucca who came to visit us for the day during our stay at La Vinca, and they were absolutely amazed with this property. Ilario and his wife have done a stellar job! If you love dogs, there are 2 very friendly dogs that come to visit every evening from one of the surrounding farms. They love playing catch :) Some of our most memorable experiences from our trip to Tuscany were spent drinking our morning coffee on the patio at La Vinca over looking the valley, and enjoying delicious Italian wines and foods in the evening in the same spot. It truly was a dream come true and highly recommend this property. There are also beautiful towns within driving distance; the Saturday market in Barga is a must for fresh local foods. And Castelnuovo is a great little town to explore, eat, drink wine & do a spot of shopping. Tip: make sure to stop at one of the bigger grocery stores on your way to La Vinca to stock up on food, tea, coffee, laundry detergent, wine, prosecco etc. because once you get to La Vinca you won't want to leave! :)

“Mrs” My husband our dog and myself spent a wonderful week at Betty's Bothy.We found the bothy to be very clean,warm,comfortable and cosy.Its set in beautiful surroundings and seeing and hearing all the animals is lovley to wake up and see every morning.We would like to thank Penny and Roger for their help and friendliness and hope to visit again soon.

“Five stars for rest and relaxation” We stayed at The Hemmel at Old Town Farm in Otterburn for a long weekend but felt like we'd been away for weeks. As soon as we arrived in this stylish, comfortable barn conversion we started to unwind. The rental is set in beautiful rolling countryside with fantastic views over the nearby hills and farmland and you can't help but leave your worries behind and enjoy the peace and quiet. The rental comprises a large, high-ceilinged, open plan living room/diner/kitchen, a sunroom, two bedrooms, a fantastic shower room and two gardens. The main living area has open beams, skylights and lovely deep windows that show off the depth of the barn walls. There is a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen and large rustic dining table. You don't mind washing up with views like this, but there is a big dishwasher too :-) The lounge area is gorgeous, with a wood burning stove and French doors to both sides. This gives you views of the hills to one side, and the large walled garden to the other, and makes the room really light and airy. It was lovely to open all the doors and have that indoors/outdoors living experience, where your garden is like another room of the house. The sunroom overlooks the walled garden. Perfect for watching the little one play whilst you read a book or have a lazy coffee. There are two stylish bedrooms with comfy beds (one king, one twin). We loved the 'arrow slit' windows in our master bedroom. The bathroom is amazing. Well, a shower room really, but WHAT a shower! This shower is the biggest I've seen, with a fab 'rain' style shower head. You also have access to two gardens. There is a private rear garden with a patio and lawned area, overlooking the fields and hills of Otterburn. Perfect for a glass of wine watching the sunset. You also have the large lawned garden at the front of the rental (shared with the owner, Kate), which was a total suntrap and perfect for our daughter to run around with a football, whilst we watched the bluetits and occasional woodpecker on the bird feeder! The rental is set on a farm and our daughter enjoyed seeing the resident pigs as well as watching to sheep and lambs in nearby fields. There is a fantastic private woodland area which leads to a shallow stream and we loved putting our wellies on and walking down there after dinner each night for a paddle. I imagine older children would have great fun building dens in there. In the surrounding area, we enjoyed visiting Bellingham. We particularly recommend 'Carriages' tearoom, where you sit in an old train carriage and enjoy really lovely homemade food. Fountains tearoom was a close second.

“Lovely property” We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay with our 6 year old twin grandchildren. The property was beautifully clean and there was everything we needed. The large garden that the children were able to play in safely was a massive plus for them and us. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. This was the best self catering property that we've stayed in .
