“Beautiful place to stay” Visited for a short break prior to a family wedding in Newry. The weather was cold when we arrived but Gracey's Barn was very warm and exceedingly comfortable. Geraldine was also very helpful.

“Excellent rural retreat” The Stable is peacefully situated on top of a hill on a charming sheep farm. The views from the garden are beautiful and we spent several relaxing evenings with a glass of wine out there next to the cosy shepherd's hut. The Stable has been stylishly converted and has everything you'll need to cater for a family holiday but is also intimate enough for a couple. The build quality is high end and it retains lots of original features whilst also providing the essential free wifi connection ! Our small grandchildren loved watching the ducks & chickens. Ali provides an excellent welcome pack including homemade cake and we took advantage of her delicious pre-ordered cooking service so arrived to find the freezer stocked with home cooked meals & treats. We booked for a week but on the Friday decided to stay on for a few days, Ali couldn't have been more helpful in arranging this. We will definitely stay again and are hoping to book the larger Cothill Barn for a family get together next spring/summer.

Good location for trips to the coast (Aldeburgh and Southwold), Constable country (Flatford and Dedham Vale), Bressingham Gardens, Colchester Zoo and Thetford Forest.

“A great place to spend Christmas” We were looking to spend Christmas in a rented cottage,so members of our family but particularly our daughter, could join us more conveniently. We decided upon Grafton Mews in Chipping Campden as it had all the facilities we needed and welcomed pets (one chocolate Labrador). The property was exactly as described and ideally situated being just off the High Street yet tucked away in a quiet cul de sac. The owner had very kindly supplied a Christmas tree and presents (including home made mince pies and a bottle of wine) which was the perfect touch. Everything we needed was provided and the beds, in particular, were extremely comfortable. All in all it was a great place to spend Christmas!

“Quaint, Cosy & Great Location” This was a great little find with a lovely cosy and homely feel to it. Perfect space for 2 people. We used it mainly as our evening retreat after long days exploring the Cornwall picturesque coast. It was therefore a perfect location for us also as it was close to all our favorite haunts and allowed for some discoveries of new favorites also. The kitchen was well equipped although all we used it for was to make ourselves a cup of tea in the evenings but it would be ideal for anyone wanting to cook and use the facilities instead of eating out. The only slight point that lets the place down a little is the shower in the bathroom.....it was interesting tackling the extreme change in temperature as the power surges through it and its not the most powerful of showers, so as long as you don't mind battling to avoid a scalded bum and an eternity to wash your hair its all good! But we managed fine and overall our stay was very enjoyable. Thank you Richard & Anna

“A dream come true!” We were a group of 8 family members and we all amazed with how beautiful & peaceful La Vinca is. We saw the photos online but experiencing it in person was just amazing. The house is beautifully maintained and is equipped with everything you need. The property; surrounding fruit trees, gardens and pool are also well maintained and manicured. It's always been a dream to stay in a Tuscan farm house and be immersed in the beauty of it all, and La Vinca did not disappoint - in fact it exceeded our expectations. It is exactly out of a story book or film. The owner, Ilario, is very friendly and came round on our first day to introduce himself. He came round a few days later to see if everything was still ok but otherwise we had the privacy to enjoy his property without interruption. We have family who live in Lucca who came to visit us for the day during our stay at La Vinca, and they were absolutely amazed with this property. Ilario and his wife have done a stellar job! If you love dogs, there are 2 very friendly dogs that come to visit every evening from one of the surrounding farms. They love playing catch :) Some of our most memorable experiences from our trip to Tuscany were spent drinking our morning coffee on the patio at La Vinca over looking the valley, and enjoying delicious Italian wines and foods in the evening in the same spot. It truly was a dream come true and highly recommend this property. There are also beautiful towns within driving distance; the Saturday market in Barga is a must for fresh local foods. And Castelnuovo is a great little town to explore, eat, drink wine & do a spot of shopping. Tip: make sure to stop at one of the bigger grocery stores on your way to La Vinca to stock up on food, tea, coffee, laundry detergent, wine, prosecco etc. because once you get to La Vinca you won't want to leave! :)

“Five stars for rest and relaxation” We stayed at The Hemmel at Old Town Farm in Otterburn for a long weekend but felt like we'd been away for weeks. As soon as we arrived in this stylish, comfortable barn conversion we started to unwind. The rental is set in beautiful rolling countryside with fantastic views over the nearby hills and farmland and you can't help but leave your worries behind and enjoy the peace and quiet. The rental comprises a large, high-ceilinged, open plan living room/diner/kitchen, a sunroom, two bedrooms, a fantastic shower room and two gardens. The main living area has open beams, skylights and lovely deep windows that show off the depth of the barn walls. There is a well-equipped farmhouse kitchen and large rustic dining table. You don't mind washing up with views like this, but there is a big dishwasher too :-) The lounge area is gorgeous, with a wood burning stove and French doors to both sides. This gives you views of the hills to one side, and the large walled garden to the other, and makes the room really light and airy. It was lovely to open all the doors and have that indoors/outdoors living experience, where your garden is like another room of the house. The sunroom overlooks the walled garden. Perfect for watching the little one play whilst you read a book or have a lazy coffee. There are two stylish bedrooms with comfy beds (one king, one twin). We loved the 'arrow slit' windows in our master bedroom. The bathroom is amazing. Well, a shower room really, but WHAT a shower! This shower is the biggest I've seen, with a fab 'rain' style shower head. You also have access to two gardens. There is a private rear garden with a patio and lawned area, overlooking the fields and hills of Otterburn. Perfect for a glass of wine watching the sunset. You also have the large lawned garden at the front of the rental (shared with the owner, Kate), which was a total suntrap and perfect for our daughter to run around with a football, whilst we watched the bluetits and occasional woodpecker on the bird feeder! The rental is set on a farm and our daughter enjoyed seeing the resident pigs as well as watching to sheep and lambs in nearby fields. There is a fantastic private woodland area which leads to a shallow stream and we loved putting our wellies on and walking down there after dinner each night for a paddle. I imagine older children would have great fun building dens in there. In the surrounding area, we enjoyed visiting Bellingham. We particularly recommend 'Carriages' tearoom, where you sit in an old train carriage and enjoy really lovely homemade food. Fountains tearoom was a close second.

“Excellent accommodation” The standard of the accommodation was excellent, very comfortable, en-suite in every room. I had two of my grandchildren with me, there were plenty of games and DVDs for them to play with and watch. The location was perfect and very central for all our trips out. “Lovely cottage in beautiful countryside” Very cosy cottage in lovely countryside. It was exceptionally clean and easy to keep tidy. We were just there for three nights so didn't need to use all the facilities, like the washing machine, dish washer and wood burner, but were very happy and loved the towels and furnishings.
