“stumbled across Courtyard cottages 10 years ago, still returning several times each year” If you are wanting comfortable, clean , relaxed and friendly then you have come to the right place. Courtyard cottages are the ideal base for anyone, couples, families and groups will all find the area suited to there needs. Children, pets and even grand parents are welcome. We visit at least three times every year and still find something different every visit. It is ideal for Walkers, Cyclist, Shooters, Photographers, Sightseers, virtually everyone. The cottages are modern , very clean and comfortable. All have self catering appliances and wood/coal burning stoves. Wigtown centre is 15 minutes walk (1 mile) and offers good food at the Wigtown Ploughman (pub) the Bay view Bistro. There are several other cafes in the town. Within a short car journey there are many more good pubs and restaurants to meet everyone's needs. The town as a Post office, several gift shops, chemist, grocery and butchers and book shops galore. My wife and I cannot say enough about courtyard cottages and the area, and we can guarantee you will not find any better host than Ian and Hazel. “highly recommend” Stayed here for 2 night's whilst visiting the area for my son's passing out parade. It was absolutely beautiful and the little details were so welcoming. My 8 year old nephew wants to live there. The cottage was immaculately clean and so well presented. The area was so pretty and blissfully quiet. Would highly recommend these cottages to anyone visiting the area or who just want a few day's peace snd relaxation. I plan to come again.
