“Beautiful Cottage” A delightful and spacious cottage in a perfect location. It is fully equipped with high quality fittings and two sunny gardens. A 10 minute walk takes you to the High St of lovely Chipping Campden. There are plenty of walks nearby which Michael (the helpful owner) will tell you all about. The best cottage we have ever stayed in.

“Perfect villa with pool at seaside location” Wow, what a beautiful villa! Antonio and Sandra made us most welcome on our arrival. The villa felt so homely which helped tremendously with our relaxtion. The property is so well equipped with all the extras that just make life so much easier, i.e. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, salt, pepper, oils, herbs.......it seems trivial but saves on having to buy theses extras, thank you. Really close to beach, lovely choice of restaurants in walking distance. Pleasant walk to Arrecife along the promenade. Our first impression of Lanzarote- loved it.

“Wonderful!” We stayed two weeks with Juana and Jesus on their lovely farm in mid March. Everything was lovely, wish we'd stayed longer! This is a working farm with an olive grove and green houses full of mangoes, avocados and other fruit. It's completely surrounded by a wall and an electric gate, so it's great for kids. Juana and Jesus's son Juan picked us up from the airport and then took us to the supermarket as well, as we didn't book a car for the first few days. We had a lovely fruit basket on arrival full of avocados and oranges from the local area, and some home made guava jam, delicious! The house has a large living area and a good sized kitchen with everything you need - including a washing machine in the bathroom - so we didn't have to go home with a big bag of washing, yay! The pool is enclosed with a roof that can be opened if the weather is very warm. This meant that on very windy days (we had quite a few, the cold snap gripping northern Europe sent us windy weather) we could sit in the warm pool area in the afternoon and enjoy a dip. Juana and Jesus were there every morning working on the farm and a little house that they have just built down near the olive grove. On our last day Juana took us hiking and showed us a bit of the 'real' Gran Canaria while Jesus made us an enormous paella for lunch. They were wonderful hosts - Juana gave us home grown herbs and honey from their bees, as well as showing us the generous loquat tree and told us to help ourselves. Juana speaks English very well, and Jesus speaks German and English. Our 'other' hosts were Mercedes the lovely little dog and Maribelle the very pregnant and snuggly diva-cat (she'd have you believe that she never gets fed, don't believe her!). There was also a tomcat that we named Frankie because of his beautiful blue eyes. Jesus gave us a lift to the airport to pick up our hire car (I'd recommend you book one from arrival, you can walk into Ingenio but it's a bit of a hike) and gave us tips and directions to some of the local sights. Guayadeque is only 10-15 min by car - go to the Tagoror restaurant and try the goat stew, it's fantastic! We found that just a short drive away the weather was completely different, sunny valleys protected from the wind. Most afternoons it was sunny back at the finca, so the pool area had warmed up nicely. The location is great for hiking in the mountains and exploring the North and the South. We usually escaped the wind in the mornings to go hiking/exploring or to the beach then spent the afternoons enjoying the pool. I'd recommend this holiday house for families and independent travellers who want to get away from the tourist traps and discover the real Gran Canaria, and have some peace and quiet. Thank you Juana and Jesus for a wonderful holiday, it was perfect! We hope to be back in November!
