“Amazing property!” Stunning property, with lots of attention to detail. Great to have much needed air con throughout the house. Naomi the housekeeper is a delight and really looked after us, as well as cooking some delicious home cooked meals, which was a lovely treat. Only suggestion would be a book on local places to visit, we enjoyed Murcia and Cartegena particularly. Thank you, would definitely recommend.

“Spotlessly clean and contemporary, in a great location for visiting the South West.” We are a family of four, with 10 and 12 year old children. The property had everything we needed, and was beautifully warm. Although the cottage has a small footprint, the rooms have been carefully arranged and we didn't feel cramped. One small drawback if you're infirm is that any carparking is some way from the cottage, and it's pretty hilly! The stunning views go quite some way to redeeming that small issue. Fabulous kitchen, and very comfortable beds. A good stay, and recommended.

“Beau house in Coniston” It was a delight to stay here, a beautifully decorated and furnished house. Clean and tidy, the owners have thought of everything, very comfortable indeed. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Centre on the village, walking distance to all amenities. Would definitely recommend.

“Stunning home from home - can't wait to go back!” Perfect base for a weekend (or preferably longer!) surrounded by beautiful scenery and a very good range of outdoor activities nearby including a variety of good walks straight from the cottage. The accommodation was a modern, cosy, wonderfully converted barn made all the better by friendly hosts and Jac the dog. We will certainly be returning!

“Wonderful Winterfell!” We booked as a last minute holiday to the Lakes and we were not disappointed. The cottage is located up a private road just a stones throw from Lake Windermere. As you turn in through the wooden gate you are treated to the first sight of the most amazing garden. So well landscaped and full of colour with two lawns and a huge stone patio with lovely wooden furniture where we sat for breakfast most mornings listening to the sound of the birds and the beck running through the garden (safe for children as it was well covered.) The cottage itself is modern and finished to a high specification. The kitchen has everything you need including new appliances: fridge, a larger freezer, washing machine/dryer (useful after muddy walks!) dishwasher and electric oven and hob. A large table gives an ideal vantage point to watch the numerous birds that flock to the bird table and the resident robin is getting very territorial. There was also a phesant strutting around one mornng! A conservatory with comfortable sofas and throws proved delightful in the evening to relax and read or play board games. The Lounge has leather sofas and a large open fire (I almost wished the weather was chilly just to enjoy a real fire!) The large flat screen TV/DVD player was a welcome addition to watch a film one night when we were just to tired to go out. Two comfortable double bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses and good quality linen made for a good nights sleep. The third room had bunk beds in and again these looked to be of an excellent standard. The power shower was a huge hit with our teenage son and the bathroom was furnished to a very high spec. The cottage was warm, cozy and the owners are extremely helpful should you have any queries. If you want a quiet base from which to explore Lake Windermere or further afield then I heartily recommend Winterfell Cottage - you will not be disappointed.

“Great cottage, nice people and beautiful scenery, we would love to stay again.” Nice, quiet and relaxing stay, the only thing wrong, we stayed for a week and that passed to quickly, hopefully we will be able go back. Lovely cottage, very comfortable, Sue and her husband were very welcoming. This was a good base if you want to see Cornwall, most places where less then an hour away. We would recommend this cottage.
