“Lovely cottage in a glorious area!” We spent a wonderful week at Yaffle Cottage with 3 generations of a large family group. The cottage is very spacious, well maintained and spotlessly clean. The location really is unfeasibly beautiful! Alex, the owner was extremely helpful with everything, particularly in providing information about the area. We loved the wood-burner in the lounge and the younger members of the family made the most of the second lounge with massive curved screen TV. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for a relaxing country break.

“Lovely Cottage and Nice Owners” This is a nice cottage and we had a lovely time. The cottage is also placed in a nice quiet area however not to far from the high streets for all your shopping. The owners are also lovely people and very helpful. We would like to go back to this cottage again in the future.

“Beau house in Coniston” It was a delight to stay here, a beautifully decorated and furnished house. Clean and tidy, the owners have thought of everything, very comfortable indeed. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Centre on the village, walking distance to all amenities. Would definitely recommend.

“A wonderful retreat - whatever the weather!” We stayed at Rumours in April 2014 and January 2015. The first time was with children, the second all adults. The house is exceptionally spacious and comfortable and worked well for all 8 of us to be able to both spread out and spend time together. Although we were lucky with several sunny days along with some rain on both occasions, there is plenty to do whether you choose to go out and explore or stay in. The living room and conservatory area both have comfortable seating and fabulous views to enjoy. The balcony and patio were also well used during our April visit. We also enjoyed cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen (including 2 large fridges and a gas range) which made self-catering enjoyable. The fact that others can join you in the conservatory area of the kitchen or in the spacious kitchen itself also makes it more of a social event than a chore! The beach is a short walk down the hill and great for walking the dog (and children) along exploring the rockpools once the tide is out. The Tesco Express - also at the bottom of the hill - is really handy for picking up supplies. We visited Tenby - short drive - several times which has a larger supermarket, wonderful beaches and shopping. We also explored further along the coast and inland on various adventures which both children and adults enjoyed. In short, the house is ideally located on a beautiful coastline, with fabulous views, plenty to do and is really well equipped to just relax and hang out any time of year! It could work for any mix of ages and Rob, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with - helpful, friendly, easy to contact... We certainly couldn't have asked for a better holiday experience and will definitely be back!

“Perfect” Our cottage had everything you could possibly want. It was well stocked and welcoming with a fantastic cream tea as we walked in the door. It was private and secure with excellent parking. The location was perfect and very beautiful.The local amenities were only a short walk away. we couldn't have asked for more.

“Far from the Madding Crowd” Our time at Barmoor Ridge was filled with wonderful walks, beautiful scenery, lovely accommodation and helpfulness from the owners of the cottage. The cottage is ideally situated for: visits to the coast - picking our way over some of the best shores we have ever walked; treking over the Cheviot Hills with a wonderful backdrop of fields and woodlands; visiting the border towns of Scotalnd which offer so much charm; or for just lazing around, reading or having a nap in such lovely quiet surrounds, interrupted only by the odd tractor, bird song or the bleat of a lamb. The couple who own the property are very warm and friendly people. A welcome pack was there on arrival and had all the right things.

“Everything it said it was!” We stayed here for the February half-term week with my daughter, her husband and our grand-daughter. As an ' upside down' house it worked extremely well. The bedrooms on the ground floor were clean, with lovely white bed linen and both rooms had an en-suite bathroom/ shower room. We were provided with a cot and a high chair(although the high chair did not have a tray) free of charge. Upstairs the rooms were open plan so the sitting room extended into a lovely modern kitchen. The dining table was positioned near the bay window which allowed us to view the sea. Although there is no allocated parking we did not have a parking outside or very near the house( and we had two cars). Alnmouth is a lovely seaside town with many places offering evening meals.

“Exactly what we were looking for” Host showed us the accomodation and made themselves available to accomodate any further needs we might have. Clean and had everything we required. Location had everything we were looking for within walking distance or a short drive away. The unabtrusive freindly hosts,the immediate area we were in and the more than adequate cottage fof the money payed.There was nothing we disliked.

“Delightful cottage” We were made to feel welcome to Garden Cottage by the very helpful owner. The cottage is delightful and the area is lovely, not busy and not 'touristy'. Bar/Restaurant in village is excellent and would highly recommend. The enclosed garden is great for dogs as you can open the door and be sure they are safe to wander around. Would love to go back as we did enjoy it

“A pleasant week in Dorset” Ryecross was a clean well;appointed and comfortable cottage with avery pleasant outlook over the Blackmoor Vale. We enjoyed our very much in the local area and beyond to the coast. It helped to have good weather, but the cottage was of such a standard that if we had to stay in all day it would have been equally enjoyable. The only minor complaint was the lack of a large frying pan. Instructions for the microwave would have been helpful.

“Black n white gem” Bijoux barn conversion in the heart of little known 'black and white' part of the country. The cottage was clean , well-equipped and perfect for a cosy hideaway. The owner couldn't have been more helpful with a lovely welcome of homemade cake! Loved the spiral staircase! Right in the heart of the country. Night skies were breathtaking.
