“Neat and tidy home for two for two weeks sightseeing..........” Excellent location. 30 mins drive from Stirling and easy links to Glasgow (we went by train from Alexandria park and ride and to Edinburgh (we went by train from Stirling but found the timings a bit restrictive and so the second time used Inglston park and ride which was a longer drive but much more flexible in tram journeys. Lots of other sites local to the accommodation and we particularly enjoyed the boat trip across to Inchmahome Priory a few miles out of Aberfoyle on the Stirling road. Also, my wife is a big 'Outlander' fan and there were lots of sites used for filming in easy reach and, for Monty Python fans Doune Castle is a must (home of the French knights and also in a different scene Zoot and her many friends) Cottage itself was clean and newly refurbished (last year). Facilities were fine and as expected but beware that the freezer advertised is actually the icebox in the fridge. Not an issue for most so long as you are aware in advance (we checked with the owner) but might be for some. We were there for two weeks and did cook 'at home' most nights. As that was the only minor quibble I could think of I had to give the cottage a '5 star' rating.

“Spectacular!!! A paradise in the country!” Wendy and Ian were the perfect hosts. The baked scones shortly after our arrival were so yummy. This cottage was refurbished with love and care. Everything a traveler would want in a home away from home is here. The bed was so comfortable, it made it very hard to get out of every morning. The beautiful views of Stirling Castle and the William Wallace Memorial were awesome, especially when they are lit at night. After a long day of sight seeing, this cottage was paradise to return to. It is so homey and comfortable where you can put your feet up, watch TV, surf the net with the WiFi provided or listen to music. Many times we just stared out the window at the beautiful view. We cannot wait to return and tell all of our friends about this oasis in the country. Do not hesitate to rent this beautiful cottage, you will love every minute of it.

“Wonderful cottage!!” Ivybank is a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The views from the garden are wonderul and the furnishings in the cottage itself are perfect. Tastefully decorated with everything you need, its perfect for a short or longer stay. We would definitely return and if you chose this cottage you wont regret it!

“Excellent” My husband, myself and our dog spent a week here. The studio was lovely and everything we were looking for. Laura and Ronnie were excellent hosts. Ronnie's fresh scones are amazing. Our dog was made very welcome and spent hours playing with Bertie. Lovely views with plenty to do nearby. Will definitely go back.

“Beautiful home in a tranquil setting” We booked this quite 'last minute' for a New Year break and the owner was very accommodating and helpful. The house is stunning and nicely furnished with what are obviously personal items. Loads of space in the house so you don't trip over each other, and the kitchen/dining space is great for entertaining and hanging out! A short stroll through the estate and you're in Drymen for coffee, lunch or shopping, and a short car journey to Balloch and other places for waks, etc. Certainly one of the best houses we've rented for this sort of break!
