“The best kept secret in Scotland” This cottage was amazing the breathtaking views, the comfort and cleanliness of the home was better than any 5 star Four Seasons Hotel I have stayed in. It had everything to make this one of my best vacations in Scotland ever!!! Peaceful and away from hotels where everything is cookie cutter. Wendy and Ian are the most gracious hosts. I have booked my trip for next year with them again. SOOOOO now I guess the secret is out! BOOK now you won't regret it.
“Beautiful lodges in a lovely location.” As a party of 22 for my daughter's 'Hen Weekend' we took over the whole site. The main lodge was beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated in contemporary style - and a perfect place to accommodate the whole party. Well equipped with modern appliances, glasses etc and the Hot Tub was an added bonus. Located in a separate building it was easy to take turns while others chilled out watching the giant plasma tv. The 2 smaller lodges were beautiful too - ideal for some privacy whilst still easy to get together in the main lodge. The owners could not have been more helpful -both during the booking process and during our stay. I would happily return even in a smaller party as the location of the lodges creates privacy and also is close to both Stirling and Bridge of Allan. An excellent facility and a wonderful weekend.
“What amazing lodges.” Great hosts, lodge was 5 star loved the gardens very peacefull place, with easy access to the town. Will return for sure just for the hot tub!! Keep up the good work wish more places gave such a good service.
“Magic experience that made our holiday” Fantastic. Great location, superb views of the Castle and looking towards the Trossachs. Easy access to the city centre, only a ten-minute walk. We stayed for 3 months and, as expected over such a long time. little things cropped up in the house, such as a broken water heater and handle snapping off the washing machine. But everything was dealt with promptly and to our complete satisfaction by Martyn. We stayed in both the small and arge apartments and they are both excellent.

Amazing week in the most amazing house
Absolutely blown away with the high standard of the house and all the extras that were included. Being welcomed with a fully packed hamper was such a lovely touch. It was so nice to have a whole week with five children and not one of them telling me “I’m bored”! They’ve thought of absolutely everything at Burnside House, we cannot wait to rebook, highly recommended …
Great location. Fabulous views.
Was a wonderful location. Short walk to shops. Great views of Wallace monument and Stirling castle. Close to railway station. Plenty of utensils and plates.
Only downside was bed in main bedroom very hard and uncomfortable. …
Beyond our expectations, you won’t be disappointed
Absolutely beautiful apartment, from the moment you step in to the moment you leave it felt so welcoming and homely. The extra touches such as the welcome pack were lovely, thank you.
The location is so quiet but close to the town centre/train station you can leave the car which we did.
Anne couldn’t have been more helpful, introducing herself shortly after we arrived. Was nice to know that should we have any issues she was close to hand. (Not that we needed anything as literally everything was already thought of)
Great for all ages, dvds, books, board games are all provided.
Should we return to Stirling, the Laurels would be booked by us again without a shadow of a doubt.
Many thanks Anne …
We have just returned from spending a lovely holiday in Fran and Alex`s apartment. As previous reviewers have said it is exceedingly well appointed. Even a paper napkin dispenser on the dining room table.Plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space. The garden and bedroom window look out over a lovely planted gravel garden. There is outside seating on a small decking area, barbecue and further seating. Parking is right outside the front door. I tend to have a problem sleeping away from home but not here. Lovely comfortable bed.
Instructions on how to find the property were clear and we arrived without a hitch.
The property is situated about 15 minutes from Stirling in the village of Plean and great for touring around. There is a bus stop outside and we used the bus on several occasions. English bus passes were accepted by 2 out of 3 drivers!!!
Fran and Alex go out of there way to make sure you are settled in comfortably, and I cannot recommend this property enough. The pictures do not really do it justice.
We had a wonderful 10 day holiday. It was a home from home. …
We enjoyed our stay at Wallace Apartments in Stirling. The flat was nicely decorated, very clean and spacious, with lots of extra touches, and access to a shared garden. The bedrooms were comfortable and the powerful shower was very welcome in the bathroom. We'd suggest the addition of another lamp in the sitting room, and waste baskets in each bedroom. Thanks to Sam for meeting us with the keys. …
