“Excellent” We booked very last minute and were accommodated with less than a days notice with a very easy booking process and excellent communication. The cottage is well located, and was beautiful inside. The cottage has everything a family will need for a weeks holiday and great access to the village facilities and the fun of the forest. I have already recommended this cottage to my friends. If you want a fabulous cottage, great location and you love walking and cycling this is the place for you. Thank you again

“Recommended” I took the 3-day package and stayed with my spouse. The visit coincided with my birthday and I was pleasantly surprised when Ali, the cabin owner, gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. I don't know if this is her standard greeting to new guests but it was very much appreciated. The complimentary milk was a treat too. All the facilities are as described in the letting blurb and, like the other reviewers, I had a really good time relaxing in the sauna/hot tub or watching the Sky package at the end of my day. One minor quibble (and it is minor) is that the bedroom is described as 'en suite'. Since it is the only toilet and the bedroom is part of the open plan layout of the cabin it is not 'en suite' as I understand it. Ignoring my pedantry, this is a visit I would heartily recommend to family and friends.

“Mrs” Had a fantastic week with 6/7 days of great weather. So much to do and see in Killin and surrounding area. All made easier by the extensive information left for you in the cottage Highlights for week were walking up various hills , boating on Loch Tay (a bargain at £20 for 2 hours from Loch Tay Lodges), quad biking( Kenmore quads) Highland Safaris, Scottish Crannog at Kenmore. Too much to write! Great meals from fish & chip van, The Bistro at Loch Tay Lodges and The Capercaillie. Great for our dogs as they had a huge porch to chill in after our long walks.Hope to come and stay again. "

“Lovely apartment” The apartment is very cosy and the owner really kind. It's in the city centre, just a little walk from a supermarket and the main road. It's very quiet and convenient if you want to visit loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

“the cabin with everything” Nicely located by the river with the privacy of a small site but within 5 minutes walk of the village shop the cabin is equiped with everthing you could need for a holiday of this type although we only used it as a touring base clean and tidy with graet comunication from Karen from the start.

“Great lodge in a beautiful location.” Well equipped lodge in a great setting. We shared the weekend with a young family of swallows which we were able to spend a lot of time watching. The terrace is great with wonderful views across to the Campsie Hills and the West Highland Way. Lots of hints and tips on what to do in the lodge along with books and dvds. The owner was very helpful and gave some suggestions on where to eat. Electricity is extra, 10 units free per night.

Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, located in Scotland, was created in July 2002 under the National Parks Act 2000 to safeguard an area of outstanding and diverse landscapes, habitats and communities, parts of which were coming under severe visitor and recreational pressures. The National Park boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the world from the breathtaking mountains and glens of the Trossachs to the vast tranquil beauty of Loch Lomond, mainland UK's largest body of water. 15,600 people live in the park, which is customarily split into four sections: Breadalbane, Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, and Argyll Forest Park. One of the main purposes of the National Park is to promote the great outdoors and there are no shortage of activities available for a vast range of interests. Half of all the people in Scotland live within a one-hour drive of the park.
Things to do in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park
Cycling is a great way to explore the park. Try the West Loch Lomond Cycle Path, which wanders along the loch's west shore. Bikes are available for hire at Balloch, as well as in other park communities. Birds (and bird-watchers) are very much at home in the Trossachs, where signature species include golden eagles, ospreys, and peregrine falcons. A quarter of Britain's flowering wild plant species grow inside the park's borders. Climbers love the area too, with a total of nine climbs on offer at Ardvorlich crag (and many more elsewhere), you'll find a good mix of balance and technical climbing.
For walkers seeking a challenge, the West Highland Way passes through the park, while the mountains of Ben Lomond, and the Arrochar Alps attract most hikers. Spend the day out on Loch Lomond kayaking, canoeing, swimming, angling and more - the sheer size of the lake is incredible! On nearby Loch Katrine, visitors can travel on the historic steamship SS Sir Walter Scott.
Explore Balloch Castle Country Park - 200 acres surrounding a classic castle, nature trails, and walled gardens. A perfect day out with the children. Throughout the whole year the local communities in the National Park organise events for the whole family. These include guided walks, festivals, markets, concerts and of course the Highland Games - where combatants show off their prowess at traditional Scottish feats of strength. It's never a dull day at Wellsfield Farm either, with adventure parks, fishing lessons, pony club, archery lessons, and outdoor assault courses.
