“A truely excellent cottage and very attentive owner” The cottage is in a quiet location in the village of Kiliin. It is very clean, well equipped and comfortable with a large private parking area at the front. The owner was very attentive and was keen to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We were arriving late and in the dark and were delighted to see that the lights were left on for us. There was plenty of bedding and towels and a detailed explanation of how things worked was available for guests. There is the soothing sound of water flowing down a burn to the rear and the river is on the north side. The cottage is surrounded by majestic fur trees that are home to small birds and cheeky squirrels. For us it was a great place to stay as we are into walking or cycling, but even if you're not there are lots to see and do in and around Killin. The village has plenty places to eat out. We tried them all and the food and service were excellent. There is a well stocked CO-OP and Chemist and also an outdoor centre where you can hire bikes, canoes etc. Our overall view of Killin was that it was a great place to stay. It was made all the more enjoyable by staying in this cottage. We had a lovely, relaxing time. Thank you Karen.
“Tranquil lodge with stunning views overlooking the loch with scenic backdrop of Scotttish hills.” Peaceful and scenic surroundings with full view of loch with water sports and large open grass areas allowing each lodge generous garden space - ideal for children and dogs. Forrest walk right behind lodge, leading down to water's edge. Only 3 miles to nearest very picturesque Killin with postcard views of mountain range nearby. Delighted to find dog friendly bars/restaurants and friendly cafes here. Short journeys to other loch villages nearby and along the loch side made day nice day trip. Lodge's lounge view through full floor to ceiling height glazing left us constantly wanting to sit and admire the views making our stay so special and relaxing.
“Beautiful and comfortable” My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights over Easter weekend and had an absolutely lovely weekend. The cabin had the most comfortable bed and sofa we had ever lain on, and the hot tub and sauna were excellent to unwind in at the end of the day. The cabin also contained a variety of books and board games which would come in handy if the weather wasn't great, as well as the full sky tv package, but luckily it was dry enough for us to explore the surrounding area which was stunning. Having a picnic down by the side of the loch with the snow covered hills surrounding us was a highlight, and it was good fun going out onto the loch in the canoe as well. I definitely hope to come back one day!
