From the owner

Blinkbonnie cottage is set in beautiful forest countryside on the Glen Ogle and Leskin Estate within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The cottage faces directly south, so the rear garden is a sun trap which overlooks a small Lochan which is a haven for wildlife with woodlands and hills beyond.

Blinkbonnie has had a major upgrade over the past two years & we will continue to make improvements to provide comfortable and enjoyable accommadation and facilities for our guests.

The accommadation comprises of a good sized living/dining room, including a wood burning stove if the weather turns cold. There are french doors which open out into the rear garden with a Lochan adjacent and forests beyond. The internal hall leads to the bathroom and the two bedrooms, one includes a king sized bed and the other has twin beds. Both have walk in fitted wardrobes. The panoramic views from the bedrooms take in the local forests and hills.

Whilst it is in a rural setting, it is only a three miles drive away from the village of Killin which is home to famous Falls of Dochart and at the western end of Loch Tay. Killin has many eating places, a post office and a very well stocked Coop for all your needs.

The village of Lochearnhead is only 4 miles to the south where all activities of water sports and fishing are available. We have two golf courses within a 20 minute drive with many more a bit further away. It is also an ideal base for walkers and cyclists with many cycle routes and footpaths to try and explore.

If you are looking for a real cosy cottage to explore a very beautiful area of Scotland then Blinkbonnie Cottage is the place for you !!

There is a key safe ouside the front door, the code will be emailed to you a week before your stay.There is an informaton folder within the cottage which has contact mobiile numbers in case of any issues (hopefully none !) The folder also contains suggested routes and places of interest to visit if required and where to go for essential provisions. We do provide a welcome pack for you to enjoy on arrival.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Neill (the owner) a message.

If Neill (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
