“Pond View Cottage, what a place!” This little cottage just outside Hathersage is absolutely fantastic. We arrived in darkness and was greeted by James who was grew and showed us around. The cottage itself is brilliantanly layed out upside down as to create more space and light and works perfectly. During the weekend we climbed Mam Tor, on the Saturday we visited Hathersage, Castleton and Edale. In Sunday we traveled to Bakewell and Matlock all worth a visit while up in the area. We ate out at the Scotsmans Pack, and The Plough, which were both delicious meals. We loved our stay and would really recommend the cottage to our friends and anyone else!

“A beautiful, luxurious holiday cottage in idyllic surroundings.” What a find!!! Daleside is a truly lovely cottage which is every bit as good as the photos depict. It has everything you might need including off street parking (so often missing with some cottages) and even a welcoming surprise in the fridge! The cottage is beautiful both inside and out and the views from it are just stunning. The owner Christine close by and if we needed anything she was always contactable and was really proactive in making sure that everything was OK. Located in Over Hadden it makes a good base to tour the Peak District and is close to Bakewell and Chatsworth House. You can also walk for miles straight from the cottage, and the Lathkil Hotel which serves excellent meals and a range of beers and wines is just a couple of hundred yards away. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage to anyone wishing to visit this area.

“Excellent” This cottage was sparklingly clean, comfortable and well situated if you want to walk and explore the surrounding area. The views from the cottage is amazing and you can relax on the outside loungers if you are lucky enough to get good weather as we did. When you arrive at the cottage you will find a tray with coffee, tea, milk and biscuits (including dog biscuits if you have one with you !) to welcome you - a very nice touch. We had a wonderful week at Monks Dale and can recommend this place without hesitation.

“Lovely cosy cottage, with great access to the Peak District” Our first time to the Peak District, we were very impressed with most of the towns and villages we visited. Parwich was no exception - nice quiet village with very friendly pub with hearty pub food, very reasonlably priced. There's also a British Legion club, which serves as a second pub, but we never got the chnace to try it out. Also plenty of walks around and good access to the whol Peak District area. The cottage is nice and cosy setout on 3 floors, with lovely new bathroom/shower room, very comfortable king-size bed and relaxing lounge area with open fire. It was clean, tidy and very well equiped throughout. In addition, there was lots of information on walks and leaflets of other attractions in the area. All in all we had a lovely stay. Many thanks .

“Beautiful cottage in Peak District” This is one of the nicest cottages I have stayed at ;it was spotlessly clean and comfortable and very cosy . We were greeted with lovely flowers and a freshly made cake and lots of extra touches like bubble bath . It is very good value for money. There are some beautiful walks from the cottage and some nice pubs which are dog friendly . There aren't many shops but a lovely bakery . The owners are helpful and friendly. When I visit this area again I would definitely stay again . ;

“Just perfect in every way!!!” Tranquil setting for a nights stay in the cutest shepherds hut. We arrived to a winter wonderland as it had snowed the day before, Rachel had created such a lovely setting with the festoon lights glistening and had even built little igloos from the snow with tea lights in them, they looked beautiful glowing in the snow. The hut was pristine and had everything we needed, we felt at home especially with the log burner blazing, very warm and cosy. The next morning we got a breakfast hamper delivered at our requested time and it was delicious and set us up for a long walk around the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District. This stay really did make our Christmas break so special and can't recommend it enough, we will be returning in the summer, just perfect.

“Well equipped and comfortable house for a large group in an exce” Excellent location with superb views from the main rooms and easy walking into Hathersage. Good quality furniture and very comfortable beds; the ensuite facilities were a real bonus. The house( a purpose built lodge so not a period property) was very well equipped with two dishwashers etc which worked well for a large group. The owners were very helpful, supplying us with any information that we needed. a walking group of 14

“Last minute booking” Jo was really helpful when we emailed our enquiry re booking the cottage for 4 nights the day before we wanted to arrive. It is in a great location in a lovely village and the cottage has heaps of character. Jo helped us out when we forgot our towels and when we thought we wouldn't get out of the village due to heavy snowfall she offered us another nights stay. I would definitely have no hesitation in booking again it is a really quiet location and great for walking.

“Wonderful holiday destination for all! A real home from home.” I booked the Coach House at Gateham Grange for myself, my eldest daughter and my 4 year old grandson. The Coach House was a beautiful cottage, with everything you could need for a holiday and very comfortable beds! Teresa, Robert and Sam were all very welcoming, taking the time to talk to us and making us feel welcome and comfortable. My grandson absolutely loved the farm with the cows and calves and the sheep and the lambs (and a very friendly cat!); he was even given the opportunity to help feed the lambs. There are some beautiful walks from the farm, short and longer. We recommend taking a walk to Thors Cave. We definitely intend on returning.
