“Fantastic Cosy Cottage” We stayed for 4 nights at oatcake cottage and we absolutely loved it! Situated right in the centre of castleton it was minutes walk to the lovely pubs and restaurants and also had parking right outside. The cottage itself was wonderful and had everything we needed, including the most comfortable beds! Will definitely be staying here again.

“A lovely, well-equipped and comfortable cottage.” Meri Cottage was the perfect accommodation for our family of 5. The cottage was spacious, clean and well-equipped. When we arrived everything was ready for us. We enjoyed the courtyard garden leading from one of the bedrooms - a little sun trap! The shop next door sold some real treats (local beer, cakes, pies etc) and we were able to get a supermarket delivery for a bigger shop. There were lots of board games, books and DVDs in the cottage which was an added bonus.

“Clean comfortable compact cottage” Lovely, well appointed cottage with lots of nice finishing touches, such as tea, coffee, milk, washing up liquid, handwash etc. all provided. We arrived in the evening and it was wonderful to walk in to a warm inviting place to stay with everything we needed. Our visit was very brief with little opportunity for sight-seeing as we were visiting relatives but the cottage totally suited our requirements. The area is beautiful and we hope to return again.

“Quaint Cottage in Youlgreave” Just had a weekend here for my birthday with some friends. Village is lovely, did some walking and went to a couple of the pubs in the village, and cooked a lot of food. Everything in the house was spot on, well equipped and a lovely location. We will definitely be going back again!

“Perfect place for a lovely break.” This cottage is perfect and we (3 ladies on a celebratory break) felt completely comfortable and at home as soon as we arrived. The cottage is immaculately clean, lots of space and very comfortable. We've all said we'll come back together and separately with our families.

“Fantastic Cottage” We loved our stay at Pumpkin Cottage. Jane was very helpful for any questions we had and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed, including a lovely bottle of wine for us and some dog treats for the dogs. Having a enclosed garden made the trip more enjoyable and the parking locally at the pub wasn’t an issue at all. Would highly recommend and stay again, located well for lots of walks that we spent the week doing.

“Derbyshire Delight!!” What a beautiful little gem The Croft in Winster is!!! The cottage is very welcoming and warm and very well appointed! A lovely retreat to return to after a hard days walking with our two dogs. We had very thing we needed supplied in the cottage and to be able to use the garden so late in the season was an added bonus.......views to die for!!!! We found the village and villagers extremely friendly and enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch in one of the village pubs The Bowling Green. Will definitely look to return again!!

“Lovely cottage within easy walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants.” This cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. It was far more spacious than we expected and our party of six never felt overcrowded. The cottage position in Bakewell is just perfect. Once we’d parked our car in the yard behind the cottage we never moved it again until we left. A massive bonus to find a cottage so near to the town centre with its own parking. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to drink and eat in and a reasonably good sized and well stocked Coop all in walking distance. We used the cottage as a base to do a few circular walks in the area. Highly recommend a stay here.

“Comfortable home from home” Hillsview is an immaculate bungalow in the delightful village of Youlgreave absolutely perfect for a short break. We sampled each of the three 'eateries' and had a delightful country walk. A visit to Hadden Hall was an amazing bonus.

“Big house in a good location.” The conservator is great for entertaining and partying day or night. Top floor shower is not for tall people but others are good. Breakage fees are a bit steep so advise you replace glasses yourself, £3 a glass, especially as broken due to Belfast sink not being very forgiving.

“One of the best cottages we have ever stayed at.” The owner was very accommodating. The cottage has adequate facilities, were clean and warm. Location is ideal for the White Peaks & Chatsworth but will need to return to complete our wish list of walks. The family owned Pub next door was welcoming and served good food just as it did years ago when we lived nearby. We had extra excitement provided as we were here during the Brexit Results

“New Year Knees Up!” We spent a lovely, if not wet, New Year week at this cottage and I have to say the facilities are very good. Ideal for local amenities and pubs which all serve foot. Great location for sightseeing with Buxton, Bakewell, Castleton & Chesterfield within easy 20 minute drive. Would benefit from a dryer as it did take an awful long time to dry clothes on the airer but you wouldn't have this problem in the Summer months. Overall excellent and I would recommend this venue to others who are looking to spend time in the Peak District which is also a beautiful part of the country.

“Lovely little cottage” Loved our couple of nights stay in this little cottage. It is small but nice and cosy for a couple/small family for a few nights holiday. The cottage overlooks fields of sheep, lovely view, it has an open coal fire which was nice and has everything you need and more. The only downside was the water. It was only hand hot and went cold when the bath was only a quarter full. It's in a lovely village with a nice pub and a half hour walk to Hartington that has a few shops including a lovely cheese shop. A couple of miles walk led you to the Tissington Trail which is very popular for cyclists.
