Charming Cottage, Hayfield, in stunning Peak District location
    This cottage has everything

It's beautifully and tastefully furnished, has a wood burner for chilly nights, has comfortable beds, is easy walking distance to a pub with really decent pub grub, it's in a lovely village with some nice shops and we didn't have to use the car once. We walked to Edale one day then did a circular route up Kinder Scout and back the other. see more
    Kinder Path Cottage
    A Real Gem

What can I say.... We were all sad to leave at the end of our time at Kinder Path Cottage.... We received a lovely warm welcome from Gill when we arrived. The location of the cottage is outstanding - set on a hill in the village with outstanding views. The cottage itself is excellent. Everything has been thought of and the quality of the furniture and appliances at this cottage are the best we have had. The cottage is spotlessly clean and has an abundance of books for any type of reader along with a TV, CD and DVD player. Gill had even brought our son an ice hockey game to the cottage to ensure he didn't get bored! Everything is included in this rental - even logs and kindling for the log burner! The village has some excellent village stores for supplies and everyone was friendly. Our time there was a mixed bag with the weather - predominantly rain, however this did not in any way ruin our time here and gave us the opportunity to go out in the fresh air walking and come back to the cottage and sit around the log burner and relax. Local walks from the door and up and around Kinder Scout are amazing - go out of the cottage and turn left, then left up the Snake Path (marked by a plaque about the Kinder Trespass) and over the hill towards Kinder Reservoir - the views on a clear day are spectacular - they're still pretty good even when it's raining. Waking up in the morning to the view from the bedroom window is something I shall really miss. This really is a great place to come and get away from the rat race and re-discover the finer things in life. I would most definitely book again - it is a real gem of a place. If you are wondering whether you should book it - just book it, you will not be disappointed.... see more
    Drovers Cottage. Kinder Road, Hayfield.
    Lovely cottage

We had a lovely few days in Hayfield. The cottage was perfect for our needs. Its central position in the village made getting to local shops, pubs and tearooms ideal. We found the cottage warm, comfortable and well equipped. … see more

    Absolutely beautiful property

This really is an exceptional place to stay-the photographs do not do it justice. It is far bigger and more impressive than we expected. The location is perfect, walks from the door, and a lovely 20 minute stroll into Hayfield(there is a public footpath off Slack Lane). The resident peacocks, ducks and ducklings provide much entertainment. The unmade track is rough-could be tricky in a small car. Some more information about local walks and places of interest would be good to have in the cottage, although anything you need can be picked up from the Visitor Centre in the village(on the car park for the Sett Valley Trail) Highly recommend! see more

    Lovely cottage with great views

Stayed at Fairybank cottage, great setting for walking, very homely, fabulous views. Doug was very helpful. Good position for exploring the Peak District. Would consider staying again in the future. Would recommend to family's and couples. Would recommend The George and Royal for eating/drinking. Close to Sett Valley Trail. Lovely walks on the doorstep Lantern Pike. see more
