“Pond view cottage” We stayed in this lovely cottage in August. It has beautiful views being located on the edge of Hathersage village. It is very peaceful and has the bonus of having friendly and helpful staff on the adjoining trout farm. It is ideally positioned to visit all the wonderful walks and places of interest in the peaks. There are some great walks right on the doorstep too! Bal and James , the owners, were very helpful ( even though they were on their holiday too!) when we needed some advice. We definitely recommend this cottage .
“Excellent little retreat” An amazing cottage with an amazing host, only complaint would be the main road.
The breakfast package was so thoughtful and more than sufficient to keep us happy!
Helen is so thoughtful with the little details and made our stay really enjoyable.
“What a treat!” Two words will summarise our stay at the hut: Simply schmazing. Stayed here for two nights for our mini honeymoon. Location was great - peaceful, and cosy corner. The hut - very nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The fire place inside was a bonus (kept us warm during the cold windy wet days of December). It was the perfect place to chillax. There was a radio to keep us company. The bathroom and mini kitchen were a short walk from the hut itself....provided a warm shower, and also a place to make multiple cups of tea/coffee! Breakfast was provided in a basket...and it was scrumptious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone...as it was certainly a fun experience living in a hut..... taking camping up to another level => glamping. The owners (Rachel and Hadyn) were very friendly and accommodating.
“Edale Secret” A gem of a conversion in a hidden farm. Ideal if, like us, you enjoy walking in the heart of the Peak District. Open country is within a few hundred metres and the village of Edale is a 5 minute stroll. Accomodation iscomfortable and very well equipped. The courtyard location adjacent a working farm adds atmosphere and the occasional farm odour! We loved it.
