“Pond view cottage” We stayed in this lovely cottage in August. It has beautiful views being located on the edge of Hathersage village. It is very peaceful and has the bonus of having friendly and helpful staff on the adjoining trout farm. It is ideally positioned to visit all the wonderful walks and places of interest in the peaks. There are some great walks right on the doorstep too! Bal and James , the owners, were very helpful ( even though they were on their holiday too!) when we needed some advice. We definitely recommend this cottage .
“What a treat!” Two words will summarise our stay at the hut: Simply schmazing. Stayed here for two nights for our mini honeymoon. Location was great - peaceful, and cosy corner. The hut - very nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The fire place inside was a bonus (kept us warm during the cold windy wet days of December). It was the perfect place to chillax. There was a radio to keep us company. The bathroom and mini kitchen were a short walk from the hut itself....provided a warm shower, and also a place to make multiple cups of tea/coffee! Breakfast was provided in a basket...and it was scrumptious. I would definitely recommend this to anyone...as it was certainly a fun experience living in a hut..... taking camping up to another level => glamping. The owners (Rachel and Hadyn) were very friendly and accommodating.
“Perfect” We arranged accommodation in Sladen House and Lodge for international family members over the weekend of our wedding. The setting is perfect and we held a lovely family bbq the day after the wedding which topped off a perfect celebration. We would definitely recommend the lodge, and will hopefully return - perhaps for an anniversary celebration!
“Homely” We loved the views, the friendliness of the locals. Thoroughly enjoyed our time away. The cottage had everything we required and loved sitting in the farmhouse kitchen. It was also great of Joanne, to allow two small dogs to stop as well. Made it a great family holiday.
