“Great location, wonderful views, very comfortable accommodation.” Comfortable and well-equipped accommodation with great views and facilities. The location on West Mainland is perfect: a short drive from stunning cliff-top walks which are ideal for bird-watching. The island's world famous archaeological sites -- Skara Brae, the Ring of Brodgar and Maeshowe -- are all nearby. The towns of Stromness and Kirkwall are a short drive. Also well placed for ferry to smaller islands including Hoy and Westray and to visit Scapa Flow. Fiona and family were very welcoming and helpful.

“Excellent dog-friendly cottage” This is a well equipped cottage with a large walled-garden that is good for dogs and/or young children. The cottage is close to the Brough of Birsay, Skara Brae and Broch of Gurness. Also the ferry to Rousay is close by at Tingwall Kirkwall and Stromness are within 30 minutes drive. The owner, Karen, gave us a warm welcome and also gifted some local food products.
