“Ideal location” Fantastic, everything spotlessly clean and plenty of room, only 3 of us but with 2 double and two single rooms could easily have been even more value for money if you have a larger family or sharing with friends. Located just about midway between bowness and windimere towns there is ample choice of shops bars restaurants. Property is set over 3 floors with living room and kitchen on the second so probably not best suited if you struggle with stairs. We'll appointed modern kitchen and decent WiFi! Only thing I can think the Property could benefit from would be some outdoor furniture in the garden but otherwise everything we needed.

“Fabulous relaxing week away in lakes” Pudding cottage is a great cottage ideally located near Brockhole (walking distance so no need no pay for parking), and also 2 min drive to complimentary leisure club at Low Wood Bay Hotel. The cottage is immaculate, very well equipped and decorated, and has all the necessaries for the kids (highchairs, travel cots, stair gate, kids crockery etc). Also Dvds and Xbox games console. Jacky (owner) was extremely helpful and prompt in answering emails when arranging booking. We have stayed in many cottages in the lake district over the past few years, and this is certainly the best (esp. if you have children). Amazing value especially given free access to leisure club. Thanks Jacky!

“Wonderful Tranquil Location” We came to stay at Faraway Barn with 2 of our friends. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we absolutely loved and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our break. The weather only added to our pleasure. You could not wish for a better location. The barn is set in a rural location with magnificent views from all windows of rolling hills, a golf course and the Malvern Hills in the distance. You could actually see the stars and 3 planets at night which added to our enjoyment. Lou went out of her way to make our stay extra special. She is a remarkable and very knowledgeable host who is very friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Lou researched recipes as I am gluten free to make a delicious blackberry and apple cake especially for us. She shared her wonderful delicious home grown organic produce freely with us which brings true meaning to the term field to fork. Would certainly recommend this Barn if you are looking for a break to de-stress and unwind.

“Great in Every Way” Great accommodation Clean Tidy everything built to a high standard Owner left a great and much appreciated welcome pack how nice and everything to make your stay a memorable one. “Home from home” Just opened the door and I felt so at home, the house was warm, very clean, I found all I needed, there were so many little touches that I am sure I missed some, Well thought out, Little touches were, tea coffee, fresh fruit and milk, just to start. Great place to start to walk from no need to drive, good places to eat, great italian by the church. I was lucky as I grew up in the area and knew that it was well plased, easy for Buxton, Manchester and other places. Host is very interesting to talk to, I know I WILL use the house again.
