“Lovely holiday” Lovely welcome, full equipped kitchen, very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful view from the cottage, peaceful place with the sky full of stars! Definitely recommend this place. Thank you Camel View!
“Beautiful home, fabulous view, perfect location” We love Bamburgh and this holiday home is the perfect place to enjoy a stay there. The home itself is fitted, furnished and equipped to a really high standard, and laid out to make the most of the fantastic view of the castle, and allow for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. With a young family we were really grateful for the safety of the enclosed drive and outside space, the peaceful bedrooms, and we appreciated little touches like the box of games and the childrens' tableware. The location is also superb, just a short walk to the beach, the village, the green and play area, and of course the castle! We had a fabulous holiday at Bamburgh Barn and will hopefully be back.
“Great place and hospitality” A lovely spacious house all finished to perfection. Stayed as a group of friends. We especially loved the log burner. We had a very comfortable stay with everything we needed. Ann was a great host and even let us leave when we wanted on Sunday as noone else was coming in that day...this was very kind as it let us all make the most of the weekend. Highly recommend a stay here.
“Lovely place, calm, clean, wonderfully provisioned , and tea bags and milk on arrival” We went for a wedding in Winchester and a family get together so brilliant location and a lovely place to stay together .
“An amazing place, quiet, idyllic, rural spot!” We have just had the best weekend at the Long House! Although ideally suited to couples this property met our needs (a group of women) perfectly. The accommodation can only be described as luxurious, full of objects to make it feel so homely. I love the mix of old with a modern twist and could never tire of looking at all the finishing touches. There are many quirky touches too, the copper pipe work in one of the bathrooms to mention just one. The welcome basket full of those essentials to get you started was especially welcomed. The owners are clearly passionate about giving a first class service, I can't think of anything I would add. We visited the nearby Chequers for a meal which was lovely, but a taxi drive away if you want to drink. Personally for a short visit I would just enjoy eating in, there certainly is everything you need to do this; plus the pure fun of everyone pitching in whilst chatting! I can't recommend the Long House highly enough, I will definitely aim to go back.
“Amazing” Ohh wow where do i start!!! From arriving to this perfect location to not wanting to go home everything is just perfect. The cottage is just unreal so clean tidy spacious and homely jennifer is lovely and we will definitely reccomended and we will definitely be rebooking next year! Thank you so much :)
“Exceptional quality barn, which exceeded all expectations” Our hosts, Karen and Jeff, could not have been more helpful. The quality of the barn and the surroundings are outstanding. You will want for nothing and the little "welcome basket" reflected the quality of the accommodation. We will be booking again for later in the year.
“Great family gathering house” Stayed here for a family birthday, chose this because it has 5 double bedrooms with one of these and a bathroom on the ground floor for an older relative. Location is great, with lovely views, walking distance to several pubs and restaurants, really close to gorgeous countryside, or rugged moors for walking, pretty market towns to explore like Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock. House is about right for 10 people and a few kids - good sized lounge with log burner and high beamed ceiling, large dining area with views over the valley, attractive and well equipped kitchen, 5 good sized bedrooms with comfy beds and 3 bathrooms. The pool table and table football were great, as would have been the hot tub in the courtyard, but it was unseasonably cold so we weren't able to use it. Nice extras like two fridges, lots of family games, a supply of logs and kindling, plastic cups and plates for outdoor eating etc. The temperature dropped suddenly when we arrived so we weren't warm enough in the lounge (as its such a big room) on the first day or two but the owner was fantastic about sorting this out and giving us some fab electric heaters until the central heating had caught up, it was really cosy after that. The house was really clean and tidy but there were some maintenance issues with things that needed painting, fixing or replacing but they weren't major and perhaps it was a sign of it being the end of the summer season. Would be great to stay here in the depths of winter providing you had plenty of supplies in, as well as in summer when the outdoor spaces and hot tub would be fantastic fun.
“Lovely home” We had a lovely stay at Old Camms Barn. It was in a very picturesque location near to Askrigg, Hawes and Bainbridge. It was the perfect place to enjoy a family get together (and they also have a great selection of board games!). Thanks so much for a great weekend.
“Holiday Review” we had a lovely time with Penny and Roger. The venue was lovely and cozy and the welcome pack they had for us was a lovely surprise. They treat their animals with love and affection, there dogs and cat are just so friendly. We hope to return sometime.
Thank you for a lovely relaxing week.
Eamonn and Jennifer.
“Fabulous!” Had a great week in Little Hendra cottage, it really was home from home as it had everything you needed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Great location for exploring the whole of Cornwall. Owners very welcoming and only a text away should you need anything. Was so excited to have my cream scone on arrival after reading previous reviews and it tasted yummy!
“Peaceful and perfect” Absolutely lovely. Tucked away in a small peaceful hamlet. Spotlessly clean cottage with lots of little extra touches - a true home from home. Karen (the owner) goes more than the extra mile to make sure a stay is perfect. We will definitely return. A short drive to Stratford upon Avon and the Cotswold villages makes this cottage a perfect location - all year round.
