“Great Location to Visit The area!” This house is ideally located for us to get where we wanted to for the mood we were in. The best way to get to Liverpool centre was by train at the local station which was just a short walk away. Once in Liverpool, we could enjoy all the things that made it the European City of Culture from great music to wonderful sights. Getting on the train in the opposite direction to Liverpool took us to Birkdale (where they hold the British Open) & Southport. Here we enjoyed a beautiful holiday town on the coast which also had lots to offer all ages for entertainment. When we wanted to take it a little easier we just walked into Formby centre to have a drink and a meal where there was plenty to choose from. The house itself is Victorian, I think, and is reasonably quiet in the evenings from outside noises. The owner was very helpful to us to make sure we had a pleasant stay so couldn't fault that at all. The house is equipped with all the things you'd expect in a holiday let but we had good weather and spent little time indoors anyway. The thing we liked best was the location cos' we could easily get to Liverpool and Southport or chill out with a walk in the woods where there is a red squirrel sanctary and walk along the sands on the beach. All in all, we received good service, a clean and welcoming holiday home and wouldn't hesitate to go back again!
“brilliant house, excellent location” the house was thoroughly cleaned throughout, before our arrival.it had bigger rooms than we exspected.the owner left us a bottle of good wine. it was a lovely place for my wife and i to relax. the owner lent us some fishing equipment so we could take our grandson fishing on the near by beach.
“Beautiful, relaxing break” We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at this property.
The location was great, in the pretty town of Emsworth, which had lovely walks, a few great pubs and a great fish and chip shop!
The house itself is stunning, with a huge lounge and dining room, ample for the 8 of us that stayed. The bathrooms were beautiful, and the kitchen very large and well equipped.
The hot-tub in the garden was a huge bonus. Martine (the owner) was lovely to deal with, she was very helpful, and always responded to my questions immediately.
If you book this home, you will not be disappointed!
“Family stay” We had a fantastic stay at the Old School House with our daughter and our dog. This is a great property for family's, the house is beautiful, immaculately clean and in a great location. We did a lot of research before booking our week away and it paid off. We couldn't have asked for more and would highly recommend this property to anybody looking to holiday in the New Forest.
“A beautiful house for a get together with friends!” This is a gorgeous property which is perfect for a group of people to have a get together as there is plenty of space. The lovely kitchen has a great big table which you can comfortably all sit round to eat and chat. The rooms are all decorated beautifully, with a real home from home feel. It was a really personal touch that we were left some 'fizz' by Jill the owner and this certainly did not go to waste! She had also left tea bags, hand soap, dishwasher tablets etc. which is unusual for a rental property. The only downside is that we felt a bit worried about any noise we made, after reading the welcome booklet, which says we could lose our deposit if we made too much noise. It is quite difficult for 15 people to make no noise after 10pm, as just that number of people talking can be a little loud. Maybe this could be worded a little differently in the book? However, there were no complaints or issues with our deposit so we did not need to worry. Perfect location for Brighton sightseeing as there is a regular bus at the end of the road. Would definitely recommend to others
“A beautiful house in stunning Fowey” We had a fantastic stay in Helen House. The house is very well presented and spotlessly clean with fantastic views over the river Fowey, providing all we needed for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Fowey harbour, the lovey shops, pubs and tea rooms and the beach are in walking distance. On site parking is a bonus too!
Fowey is beautiful ! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely house for your stay in beautiful Fowey.
“Beautiful country retreat” The house is lovely-comfortable and attractively furnished. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. It was too cold to use the conservatory, but it certainly was an inviting space. The views from the living room and main bedroom are beautiful with a well kept garden and fields beyond. The gas fire meant we could quickly warm up the living space in the evenings. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms luxurious. Communication with the owner was timely, friendly and informative. We found everything as described on the website. We did not spend much time in the local area as we were commuting to Durham; both Durham and the Newcastle area are within easy reach by car.
“Gorgeous typical English cottage in Henley” The cottage is located within a few minutes walking distance of Henley town, which has all the amenities and restaurants you need on your doorstep. We loved the cottage and so enjoyed out time there. The beds were extremely comfortable and the roll top bath in the bathroom was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and it was great to have a well stocked larder which guests can use. The owner, Amanda, is great and so helpful if you want any recommendations for good local restaurants. If we were in the area in the future, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you Amanda for a fabulous stay.
“Very spacious, good quality accommodation in Torver” This was our 17th stay at Ash Gill cottage, which says it all really! Super location with the Wilson Arms pub for food & refreshment nearby and lots of lovely walks from the house, including the Old Man of Coniston and Coniston Lake. The house is really well equipped with super furniture & furnishings. A luxury family bathroom plus ensuite & downstairs loo makes it easy for 6 people to stay very comfortably. We always have a great time!
“Amazing, Thank you” A fabulous property that has everything you could need. Exceptionally clean and tidy with lots of special touches.
The house is located a short walk from the town and harbour and in a lovely peaceful location.
We couldn't have asked for more, many thanks.
“Brilliant holiday.” Had a fantastic time with family aged from one to sixty eight. Pool, tennis courts, football pitch, bikes all used. Well equipped even supplied us with food bags, foil, coffee, tea, spices etc. Could not fault it, just be aware that pool maintenance takes place on a Thursday and the gardeners and grass cutter do come during the week. The house was spotless and is also cleaned again mid week. Staff very friendly and helpful. The weather was wonderful but take antihistamines and repellent to avoid insect bites!
“unique, cosy and charming” We thoroughly enjoyed our break away at Seabird Cottage. It is a tiny little cottage best suited for family or very close friends to stay at. It has been beautifully done up and is a well thought out space.
It is well set up. The only thing is if you are an enthusiastic chef you may wish to bring your favourite basic cooking kit. The kitchen however is set up for visitors to prepare and make basic meals.
The cottage has the most wonderful outdoor space, it is an all day sun trap.
Perfectly located with a short walk to town and a very nice new bar/pub just a few doors up.
We will definitely plan to re-visit.
