“Our stay at Seamoor House” Excellent house for a large family reunion. Every bedroom en-suite, good facilities, 3 rooms and large kitchen downstairs (plus children’s playhouse in garden) made sure everyone had space to enjoy themselves. Great location, minutes from the beach, also a short drive to the moors for amazing walks.

“Absolutely Fabulous” Stayed for 3 Nights to celebrate my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary, party of 9 Adults & 1child.on 31st Aug Loved it, house was amazing,, large family kitchen with a massive fridge freezer & ice making facilities, a great games room, beautiful gardens with a large decking area with Hot Tub and the piece de resistance - The Reindeer Hut. Thank you for The Welcome Pack, Bread, butter, milk, tea towels, washing up liquid etc, Lovely touch of fresh flowers. Great location to visit Wells, Wookey Hole, Longleat. Highly recommend the Italian restaurant in Radstock - Castello, great food & service. Thank you Brett, my parents Diamond Anniversary

“Absolutely fantastic!!!” I hired this beautiful lodge to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. There were 5 couples including us and we were all very impressed. The lodge is clean, spacious and well equipped with stunning views over the lake. We enjoyed the hot tub which has views of the lake. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space in all areas. The owner Leslee is so helpful and friendly and she even put birthday banners up for us! We have all said we would love to stay here again - it was amazing!

“Perfect in every way” This cottage was great value for money and absolutely beautiful. We were attracted to this particular cottage by the hot tub but the pool table and sauna were also welcome additions! All of the rooms were beautifully decorated to a high standard and there was plenty of space for us all. There were local walks and it was easy to find. The owners and their pets were extremely welcoming and accommodating, everything we needed was there. I will definitely visit again and will recommend to all my friends, I just hope they don't put the price up!!

“Great Week in the Vale of York” Great accomodation, friendly welcome and the hot tube was a big hit with the family. Well appointed and nicely presented self catering cottage. Although the owners house is adjoining there were no issues with privacy - nice rural setting. Laundry facilities provided so great for families. Malton only 7 miles away so easy access to supermarket and local shops. Location's great as it's handy for York, the coast, Dalby Forrest and North Yorkshires Moors - wish we'd had more time to explore as we found that there was just so much to do. Highlights of the week were: hiring mountain bikes in Dalby Forrest, and sightseeing in York Only slight down side was that there was no blind on the velux window in the downstairs (3rd) bedroom. So it was just as well that our son gets up at the crack of dawn anyway. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage as it was also great value for money.

“The Ultimate in luxury with your own butler thrown in too !” We were thrilled with our apartment which resembled a suite we had stayed in at the Ritz Hotel in Paris.! Everywhere was spotless and our teenage girls loved their own marble bathroom with Penhaligan toilettries. The additional services offered by the hotel were super with our own butler, who one morning sent out for milk and bread as we were running low! We were able to enjoy the facilities of the hotel eg the stables bar and breakfast room knowing our girls were safe only down the corridor. With our family growing up this type of set up is ideal ie with an apartment 'attached to a hotel' and we will definately return next time we are in town. Duncans of London helped us to secure a good rate & we will use them again.

“peace peace perfect peace” After 10 years of visiting Wistaria the efficient and friendly service has never varied. In the cottage with its excellant facilities and all three bedrooms ensuite (which is very rare) and more than adequate kitchen one can feel at home. A country location witha facinating coast line yet within easy reach of numerous visitor centres. The thing we liked best is knowing what we are going to find upon arrival,the thing we liked least is leaving. We as a group of golden oldies have been visiting for 10 years,11 visits, I think this in its self says an awful lot about wistaria

“Utterly wonderful pampering” I had the most relaxing and refreshing 2 days in a most beautiful tranquil setting at Downe Helth Spa in Hartland North Devon. In the midst of the noise of the World Cup, I gave myself a pamper treat. The spa facilites are just perfect and I had an entire day of blissful treatments. “A relaxing vacation in a stunning area.” My mother needed some well deserved time away from the hustle and bustle of city life and Downe Health Spa & Cottages was perfect for this. She took me along with her for four days of pampering and relaxation. Right from when we arrived, we were well catered for by Jeremy and Linda, who were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. There is varied selection of treatments to choose from and you are guaranteed to feel well pampered at the end of them. My mother particularly enjoyed the steam room, which she stated was "divine". The cottage in which we stayed, Japonica, was clean, neat and furnished to a high standard, as well as surprisingly well stocked. Digital tv is available, but my mother and I were too busy taking long walks around the area and soaking in the beautiful scenery to watch tv! Overall, the experience was a thoroughly enjoyable and peaceful one. If you are looking for break away from your busy life, or just a short vacation in a scenic, rural location by the sea, Downe is the place for you. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude towards Jeremy and Linda, who made our arrival and departure hassle free by picking us from and dropping us back at the station, as we came by train.

“High quality off-the-beaten track self catering accomodation.” Hartland is a remote and unspoilt corner of England, with excellent coastal walks. If a day of sea vistas and cliff top walking appeals to you this is a perfect area in which to take a break. If perfectly presented and comprehensively equipped cottages with wood burning stoves and HD television suit you, then I recommend Downes Cottages. Jeremy and Lynda Roe have painstakingly restored a series of traditional farm buildings and incorporated high quality conversions. The cottages include fully equipped kitchens, allowing total independence if desired. Jeremy and Lynda also offer a pre-booked meal service using fresh local ingredients for your convenience. We did not sample the food or the extensively equipped spa during our 4 days stay, instead we entertained our 4 year old with seaside visits and country walks. A very peaceful place to unwind and relax.
