“Christmas at Ravensdowne” Stayed with the family for Christmas, house is nice but needs some TLC. Chris the owner kept in touch with me and a nice gesture was the wine, chocolates and shortbread left for us on arrival. The kitchen has all you need to cater for 10 adults. Nice big table in a separate dining room. Bedrooms are located over 3 floors. Keeps you fit! Our bedroom was separate from the rest at the back of the house. Up some seperate stairs into a quaint double bedroom with ensuite. This was ideal as the dog slept in the kitchen /dining room so we weren't far away if he needed us. Berwick itself is lovely, lots of shops. The chippy up near the castle we recommend. Portions are huge. We visited Edinburgh and the Christmas Market, the castle which is situated in the old town. Very busy but that's expected at this time of year. It was an hours drive to the park and ride and then another 30 minutes. Will definitely be going back. In Berwick we walked down to the lighthouse on Christmas eve, lovely walk. We also did a circular where we walked from Ravens down over the old bridge then back over the new. We then walked around the castle walls and then found steps that brought us out on Ravens Downe again. Pub wise we love the curfew. Visited before, choice of good ales.

“Holiday Cottage” A very clean, well equipped house which is full of character. The welcome bottle of wine and the bunches of fresh flowers were much appreciated. The owner took the time during our stay to suggest visits in the area which were appropriate for different weather conditions and was clearly proud of what the house had to offer. We would recommend the house without hesitation.

“Great house for a family get together” We stayed just after Christmas. Plenty of living space and the kitchen is extremely well equipped for a large group. Lots of plates, cutlery and pots and pans. Fabulous seaview although the surrounding area isnt really an English holiday hotspot (sorry Liittlestone) but it was great for us. The owner was helpful and returned emails and our security deposit promptly. We had to leave the house clean to get our deposit back and were concerned about the levels required in such a large house and with a 10am checkout time. That was frantic and worrying for us. We have booked for next Christmas and asked for cleaning to be included to save my stress levels. We had wonderful meals in the large dining room, grandparents visited and we had 12 seated for dinner easily. There are candles, plenty of mats and even 'posh' cutlery. The owner has taken great care to refurbish the property and the Victorian hall tiles and front steps are lovely. There was a complaint about one of beds being uncomfortable from our group (top floor middle double) but ours was fine. Am sure it is personal preference. An extra or larger sofas in the living room would have been handy as people had to sit on the floor or footstools when all 10 were wanting to sit down. There is a 3 seat and 2 seat sofa and an arm chair. We did also take up and armchair from the dining room to use. The area was quiet, we could park easily out the front of the house, there is a supermarket up the road for groceries. We didnt explore the area as we were there for 3 nights and were there at Christmas. The men did play golf at Littlestone and enjoyed it and can also recommend the breakfast they serve. I cant think of much else except, we are re-booked and can recommend it. If you are a larger family group and looking for somewhere this summer right on the seafront this is the place for you.

“Fabulous house, fabulous place, fabulous holiday.” we have just got back from an extended family holiday at Lifeboat View and had a great time. All 9 of us and the dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay - beach is a minutes walk away, as is the play park, ice cream kiosk (a favourite with the boys) and fresh fish shop. Literally 3 minutes walk up the road is a great parade of shops including bakery, butchers, green grocers and post office. Selsey high street is about 5 minutes walk away with lots of independent shops which makes such a welcome change from the usual supermarket and chain store dominance in most towns. With fantastic local walks around the duck pond, beach, lifeboat station etc, and decent local pubs you could easily not use your car at all when you stay here. The house is fantastically equipped, including with every kitchen gadget known to man. Beds are really comfy, lounge is a great size as is the family bathroom. Wonderful to have secure enclosed garden as had children and a dog with us. I genuinely believe the photos on the holiday lettings website fail to do this property true justice - the house is lighter, more spacious and bigger than the photos appear. All in all a wonderful place to stay and we hope to shortly be booking again for next year! Thank you! X

“Great little base for Rye and surrounding area” We stayed here for a week in August 2012. The apartment was extremely clrean and well equipped with all kitchen equipment, DVD player etc that we could have needed. A little smaller than I'd expected, although as it was a base, it was fine and the owners couldn't have tried harder to leave everything that you'd need for a good stay. There is a small garden to sit out in and the gated community meant that we felt secure during the stay. The apartment is quite near to a busy road, so traffic noise is fairly noticeable at night if you have the windows open (as we did as it was very hot on the upper level in the summer). Overall though, a well priced, attractive apartment within 5 mins walking of the town centre. Rye is a pretty town - v touristy with lots of cafes and gift/antique shops. Recommend the church tower to climb, Ypres castle pub for evening food, Cafe Zara and the Apothecary for coffees. Outside of town, Battle Abbey is a must and Camber has a great sandy (though windy) beach.

“fabulous Bath HQ” Great house, well appointed and located. Enjoyed a fantastic tour with Thomas Tours, Cross Bath Spa and great food in nearby gastropubs. Even the rain and power cuts failed to dampen our spirits. House in walking distance of town centre so no need for taxi's. Cava in fridge lovely touch.

“Best place in Newquay!” This place is the best place I've stayed in! Location is right in front of Fristral beach with amazing views with town centre only 10min walk. There are loads of parking spaces for 2 cars maybe you could get 3 if not busy. The house is spotlessly clean ,stylish with loads of space for us which was a party of 7. The house is over 3 floors. The groud floor has a bedroom and a bathroom with a power shower to get all the sand off your wetsuits.2nd floor is the living room with a nice big tv and a xbox.Also the kitchen with all the mod cons. There another 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom upstairs.Neil was a great host happy to help with anything.thanks. We come to Newquay every year and will definitely return.

“Perfect house in perfect location” We loved the house and we already knew we loved Lostwithiel - it's such a pretty village. We haven't tried many of the local eateries, but we did eat at The Globe this time, and it was as good as all the previous guests had said. And a pasty from Fran's Pantry really can't be missed. The house itself is beautifully decorated and lacks nothing. We really didn't want to leave. The kids loved their Moroccan room at the top of the house. The owner and the local contacts are extremely accommodating and helpful. Lostwithiel itself is a great base for both South coast (Fowey, Looe, Lanydrock, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Mevagissey, train to Penzance), and North coast (Tintagel, Padstow, Port Isaac). The kids have insisted we return - which I definitely hope we will.

“Fantastic group surf trip” Excellent location and a good sized house for the 7 of us plus dog. Garage and garden were a fantastic way to rinse and dry wetsuits and not trapse sand in the house! Location was great for us quick walk to town, beaches, restaurants, bars and pubs and quick drive to fistral ( you could walk but too many boards!) Would highly recommend this property for groups of friends or families.

“Fantastic location for a hen party weekend” We stayed at Bath Townhouse 14 for a hen party weekend and it was fantastic. The house was beautiful and the living space perfect. In fact the pictures didn't do it justice. We didn't want to leave! Jette was very helpful in giving us all the info we needed and we were comfortable straight away. We had a Burlesque lesson in the living room and the space worked perfectly, and a chef in the evening, who had plenty of space to do everything right. Also the location was perfect. SO central and if you are driving I'd recommend parking at the Bath Spa station. Thanks so much for everything guys. I would definitely come back.
