“Amazing stay at Bluebell hut” My boyfriend and I had a 3 night break here for October half term and we had an amazing time! The hut is so cute and had everything we needed. It was well equipped which made us feel at home. It was clean, tidy and just a lovely place to escape to. The views from the hot tub and garden which is private were beautiful, especially if you get a good sunset. On arrival, Carol greeted us and showed us around the hut and told us everything we needed to know. There is a very informative folder in the hut which explains everything if you forget. Communication prior to arrival was good and she is great at replying to any questions you may have about your stay. The hot tub and fire pit was something we used every night. Carol ensured there was enough logs and fire lighters as well as providing robes, crocs, towels and plastic cups for outside and use around the hot tub. The welcome basket with a loaf of bread, jams, crisps and small biscuits was a great touch. There was also some milk, water and butter in the fridge. Very useful to know in advance when planning a small food shop. Sainsburys is just 3 miles away from the hut on Westhampnett Road, Chichester. We ate lunch at The Fox Goes Free which served lovely food and would highly recommend especially if you were going to walk the 9.6 miles there and back like we did!! My shins are still aching!! We spent a day in Selsey Bill which is just a 25 minute drive away from the hut and had a cold but lovely walk along the beach. We ate in the Riveria cafe for lunch. Later that evening, we ate one of the best meals I’ve ever had at the Farmer, Butcher, Chef restaurant which is part of the Goodwood Hotel. We walked there as it was less than a mile away. If you want to do some fine dining, this is the place! The food was just exquisite and I would highly recommend it. We also ate breakfast after we checked out at a place called Boxies in Boxgrove which is just over a mile away. It’s also a farm shop and we had the best Full English and large coffee each to set us up for the journey home. If you didn’t want to eat out, there is a fully functioning oven with a grill and an induction hob with 2 rings to cook on. We were sad to leave and will definitely want to return in the summer!

“Just what we wanted” Not far from home but tucked away from society. A warm fire, wildlife and generous breakfast supply. A great place to read a book and keep the fire going (Ours was a winter stay) The perfect antidote to life's usual slog. We wouldn't bet against a return visit.

“FABULOUS SHEPHERDS HUT IN IDYLLIC SETTING” Couldn't ask for nicer owners, with home made cakes on arrival. The shepherds hut is the best we have ever stayed in and immaculate. The luxury of shower room & toilet inside the shepherds hut was great. The most comfortable bed we have ever slept in out of any accommodation we have stayed in. Not forgetting the perfect location in the countryside next to a duck pond. Lovely walks from the shepherds hut and only a short drive from the picturesque town of Ledbury. Can't wait to return.

“Off grid paradise” Our stay was amazing and bev was so helpful at showing us how to keep the fire going. Wished we picked his brains more on how to build our own off grid paradise. The area is amazing and one of our best days was exploring the land with the dogs and crossing the river (and falling in it). It might be a good idea to print a map of the local area if you’re trying to find it as there is not much signal in the Lake District.

“Lovely night away” Set in a great area close to local shops and 5 minute drive into the centre of Whitby, Hut was clean and spacious enough for a small family with a dog, facilities where clean and close by. Only negative was the sofa which is uncomfortable to say the least but all in all would definitely recommend.

“Lovely stay” Booked this for 2 nights prior to our Whitby cottage holiday to extend our stay in whitby. What a great find. The owner was friendly and helpful on arrival. The pod itself was homely. The bed was comfy and the bedding very warm. The first night, had clear skies, so was frosty and I must admit my nose felt a bit cold through the night, even with the heater on, but with the clear skies it was frosty through the night. The sencond night was toasty. The facilities are as stated, so no surprises. The heater in the shower room was a warm welcome as it was nippy in there... Being October and all.... Despite some of the negative reviews left, we didn't see any rats, but did see owls, squirrels and peacocks. A great place to watch chickens geese and ducks go about their daily routine. The Cinder track close by made Whitby a 45 minute walk. Robin hoods Bay was a good 1 1/2 to 2 hour walk, but a great walk with lots of benches and viewing points along the way. The windmill pub nearby served good food, we has the beef madras.. It didn't disappoint. Would we stay again...? Most definitely.
