“Sixtieth Birthday” What a fabulous place. Took the whole of the family to celebrate my wife's sixtieth. Graet big house that is full of character and classic furniture but strangely enough you don't worry about the kids who thought it was brilliant for " Hide and Seek". Had a meal cooked in by their resident caterer which was excellent. Just a short hop to the coast Not the cheapest but go on spoil yourself. a memory to be cherished

“Perfect house for a special celebration” We hired Pettistree to celebrate my 50th and the house was perfect, the kitchen facilities are second to none and work so well for a large group, the bedrooms were lovely and the bathrooms certainly have the wow factor. The party room with its lights and sound system certainly made the Saturday night and the pool and table tennis were put to great use. All in all cannot fault Pettistree and would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a great place for a large friend or family group get together

“Beautiful medieval house” We rented this house for my sister's hen do and it was perfect. The house is absolutely beautiful, it was a pleasure exploring all the different rooms! It's very well furnished with a lovely courtyard which has the sun all day. Very close to Ipswich Marina which is great for restaurants / bars. Would definitely recommend!

“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!” I booked this Manor House for 17 people for my best friend's hen weekend and I cannot rate it highly enough. I knew it was going to be amazing from the photos but they really don't do it justice. The house is absolutely, unbelievably incredible - the party turned up in dribs and drabs and every single person was amazed as they took the tour. We were blessed with good weather on the Friday so were able to spend time lounging by the pool - we felt like we were in a luxury Spanish villa. Unfortunately there were torrential storms on Friday night and the rain kept up on Saturday morning but we still used the pool - it just made the experience more interesting! We went to a local pub (The Old Spot in Dursley) for lunch on Saturday, also highly recommended as they were very accommodating and the food was fantastic. The weather cleared up again so we did more pool lounging on Saturday afternoon, followed by hen do games and a bit of a party in the evening. There was even a cinema room in the pool house to play a recorded version of Mr & Mrs! This is the ultimate house for a group of friends to get together and just have a fantastic time - the house, the grounds, the pool, everything was just amazing and I can't think of one negative thing to say. Candida was amazing all the way through, so helpful and even left a bottle of champagne and strawberries out with a card for the hen. What a lovely touch! I can't recommend this house highly enough - for a large group of people you'll only end up spending what you would on an average hotel per night and it's more than worth it!

“Party of 7 (3 bedroom option) - We all love Love LOVED Great Tangley Manor!” The whole process, from booking, arriving, staying and leaving was easy (well as easy as leaving such a lovely house can be!). Nicho kept us well informed and provided all the information we could possibly need during our stay. We can think of nothing they could have done better. Nicho and the owners made us feel very welcome and the tour was very interesting. Maybe this is why we all settled in and felt at home straight away. For a large house it feels surprisingly cosy. There were 3 young children in our party and they found the house fascinating. This presented us with a problem getting them to leave the house for days out and whilst out, there was the constant, 'Are we going back now?' so my advice to parents is make it easy on yourself and don't bother to leave the house! There are so many things to wax lyrical about; the great setting, the fascinating history (especially sitting in the dining room with its panels from the Armada and big window you feel like you are sitting in a ship), the kitchen with the modern glass house and how it doesn't feel at all at odds with the more historic parts, how much fun it was rustling up family dinners in the lovely kitchen, the grandeur yet comfortable ambience of every room. We feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to stay in such a place. We are veterans of the Landmark Trust properties and this just blew them all away. It had all the 21st century comforts yet didn't compromise the historic aspect. The only downside is a week later we are still pining for the Manor.

“Absolutely fantastic house, we didn't want to leave” The Old Hall looks both big and beautiful in the pictures online, but there are no pictures to demonstrate just how incredible this house is in real life! There is so much space and the house is well equipped with enough, beds, chairs, cutlery, crockery etc. for everyone (not to mention rooms!). We are a mixed group ageing 25-30 and we had a brilliant time at the house. There is so much to do in the house, including tennis, DVDs and games as well as lots to do nearby if you have a car. Janine and Katy (the housekeeper) were so welcoming and accommodating. During our stay, we had a meal provided by Ethnic Fusion which I strongly recommend. The food was brilliant and the service impeccable. I could go on about how great it was, but instead, you should go and see for yourself!

“Perfect luxury location for any family gathering or celebration.” We were a party of eight adults and four children plus one dog for the celebration of our golden wedding. The house was presented in an immaculate condition with every possible comfort catered for. We appreciated the space, the quality of the decor, the linen and towels. The location is ideal for access to Norwich and the Norfolk broads but the large and peaceful grounds of the house and the games facilities available were so good that we found it unnecessary to leave the location. For those interested in cricket the local ground is opposite the property. The free access to the health and swimming centre was a welcome bonus. For those interested there is an excellent farm shop about 10 minutes away on the road to Diss. The Wildebeest pub serves impressive food which is good value for money. We used the chef and butler service provided by Relish which is highly recommended for a celebration meal. The children aged 6 to 13 were never bored and improved their tennis, table tennis, croquet and pool skills.

“Fantastic weekend” we hired Fletchers Hall to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday, we had a fabulous weekend with some lovely personal touches from the owners. Its was spotlessly clean & had more than enough equipment in the kitchen. The bedrooms were all lovely & the hot tub lots of fun. We would certainly return again.

“Great Manor House” Great location for our family get together. Spacious rooms, large kitchen and games room which was fantastic for the grandparents to challenge the children to a game of table football. Close to Mayblethorpe beach was clean and great for paddling.

“Beautiful, well equipted Luxry house” Nothing about this property is mean. Enormous bedrooms and superb bathrooms, the kitchen has everything from kenwood mixers to extra toasters but even just basic little things like toliet and soap all provided without question. What I love most about this house is the owners realistic approach to house rental: Having stayed at many rental properties both here and aboard with large mixed groups, I have to say this is one of the best in terms of equipment and certainly the best in terms of luxury. The deposit has always been returned without question ( we have stayed 3 years running) and the owner has always been quick to respond to any correspondence. 10 out of 10

“Amazing House” We stayed at the Manor House for a long weekend to celebrate my husband's 50th Birthday. Large family group including children, aunts, uncles and grandparents. The house is beautiful and the facilities are wonderful. The children loved the adventure playground and the whole family played golf, tennis and table tennis. The weather was lovely and we were able to be make the most of the fantastic gardens and outdoor dining areas. The interior of the house is just superb! Lots of space for a large group, furnished to a high standard and the beds were so comfortable. Nearby Ludlow is a beautiful town to visit with a lovely market and plenty of shops and cafes. The family had such a fantastic holiday and can't wait to return.

“Fabulous house and facilities” We rented Manor Farm for my partners 50th birthday weekend. It was a family occasion so our group included adults, teenagers and 3 small children. Everybody absolutely loved it, the bedrooms were lovely, the fire in the sitting room was fab, the kitchen was very well equipped and we had a catering look after us on the Saturday evening in the grand dining room. The snooker room and hot tub were great and kept everybody busy so we didn't feel the need to leave the house at all. We would definitely return and highly recommend.

“A lovely house in a wonderful location” We stayed at Gaddens Manor House for a large extended family gathering, and had a fantastic time. The house and garden are lovely, and the house is situated in the heart of the New Forest with great walks all around. The house is very well equipped for entertaining, with everything you could wish for.

“Beautiful, peaceful and comfortable” The Royalist Suite at Orton Hall was lovely. The place was relatively clean, the bedding lovely, white and cotton, and the bed was really comfortable. Stephanie was filled with helpful advice and was quick to respond to any questions. We barely saw the other guests at all. A very peaceful place. The books, games and movies are fantastic. We can highly recommend walking Crinkle Crags from the Lake District Walks book.
