“Really comfy and cosy Lakes cottage” We arrived late on a Friday evening and the cottage was already cosy and warm. The wood burner in the living room was welcome and the freee wood store outside meant that we could keep a lovely fire going. The dining / kitchen was a real social hub for our weekend. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great and we would definitely stay again. A very nice cottage

“If only it had Sky Sports......” I think this was the most relaxing break I've ever had. The accommodation is amazing, loads of space, really comfortable, kitted out brilliantly and very thoughtfully - I could easily live there! It was total peace and tranquillity, lots of walks to go on, a short stroll down the hill to Bodiam Castle and places like Rye and Camber Sands are only 1/2 hour drive. The welcome pack you get from the owners is a great touch, as is the home made sponge cake! Aside from Sky Sports :) - couldn't ask for anything better.

“Perfectly Beautiful holiday” Sandra was extremely friendly and helpful from the start; arranging check in times and organising the house to our needs. The house was a few minutes walk from the shops and the beach and in a quiet area. We were so impressed with the house, it was beautifully decorated, clean and tidy and all the amenities we needed. Sandra had left a folder with lots of info and contact numbers in which was very useful. The kids loved the chest full of toys and games and Buntys shed full of buckets and spades and deck chairs! We had a wonderful stay and will definatley be booking again, Thank you.

“peaceful” We enjoyed our short stay. It's a very quiet location (good for us city dwellers) with access to the sea and the Lakes. We ate in Cockermouth and at the Bar n Bistro, both good. The cottage was very well equipped and cosy, we appreciated the welcome items.

“A real home from home” Our stay at Garden Cottage was very enjoyable. It has everything you need and is extremely cosy and welcoming especially when you return from a long day exploring the lovely Suffolk coast line. Sharon and Richard have taken a lot of time and effort to ensure you enjoy your stay and we will definitely be returning.

“Fantastic” Spent 5 nights here, Wendy was great and had left wine , milk and biscuits! Accommodation great , we hardly used car , main town only 20 min walk, zoo half hour walk and Fistral beach 10 mins, highly recommended !

“Otters Lodge pleasant stay” Otters Lodge is a lovely place to stay, from the moment you walk through the door you are enchanted the rooms that are decorated and furnished exquisitely. the nights were not cold but we did find the Lodge cozy and warm, I would recommend this accommodation to friends and relatives, if they were to be traveling this area.
