“Stylish retreat, fabulous views” Maggie has great taste and style. From sofa to throws, artwork to books, Smeg fridge to 6 hob, double oven - the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay! Lovely bedding and great hot shower! The sitting room comfortably seats 3 people. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could need - we made Christmas lunch - and had enough serving dishes for eight different vegetables! The only addition that might be helpful would be a knife sharpener- the knives in the block seemed new - but didn't cut very easily! Minor detail - mentioned as a to do not a complaint! Would thoroughly recommend- beautiful bath stone house on picturesque terrace. Luggage can be carried in on the flat from the end of the terrace. Parking is at the top or bottom of a very steep hill - and so access to the cottage is on foot via steps and sloped pathways. Easily accessible to all who have full mobility - and a very short walk. You won't find a nicer place to stay!

“Location, location, location!” The cottage is beautiful! Arrived to a very clean, well equipped cottage. Excellent first impression! The arrival instructions were also excellent, and we had no problem finding the cottage, parking in the ample driveway and letting ourselves in. Location is by far the biggest asset: Storrs Hall hotel is across the road, Bowness and Windermere are a 5-10min drive, there are lots of lovely bars and restaurants nearby (Wild Boar Inn, Brown Horse both a 10min drive at the most), Kendal (and all your big supermarkets) are 30min drive, Keswick is a scenic drive up the lakeside (roughly an hour depending on traffic. We also ventured to the Lake District Wildlife Park (really good for the money - got to handle some animals, free parking, small cafe), Ambleside for some lovely lunches and for Hayes Garden Centre (Fairy and Dragon Experience £10 for children, £2 for adults, but brilliant value for money and really well done... Magical experience for a three year old), and of course a boat trip round Windemere, miniature locomotive and The Beatrix Potter Experience were also a must. Some of our party also spent an evening in one of the spa hotels in Bowness - lovely for a special meal/celebration, and again, a handy 5-10min drive. The cottage itself had a lovely big garden - we were lucky with the weather - equipped with BBQ, bike storage, washing line, patio furniture and plenty of grassy areas and parking for three cars. Indoors, should the weather be less kind, there was a DVD player, DVDs, books, board games, free view TV. The Internet connection was ok - we had expected into be worse - and the phone signal was fine for everyone (apart from my Giff Gaff phone... Although I could get a signal at the windows at the front of the house and in the back garden). There was plenty of space in the house for a family to spread themselves out: conservatory, big kitchen, dining area, living area. And ample space should everyone want to sit together too! We didn't want for anything. The kitchen was well equipped, the basics were there already, such as toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, etc. The bedrooms had plenty of storage and the beds were very comfortable. Thanks again for letting us stay in your beautiful home. Hope to be back again soon!

“great location for exploring merseyside” The beach house is located in a lovely residential area overlooking the golf course at the rear and a stone throws away from the beach with its interesting statues! The train station is just down the road with regular trains to Liverpool and Southport so ideal to avoid parking. We just enjoyed a lazy weekend - the house is equipped with everything you need and is decorated in a lovely beach house theme. Would definitely go back there instead of staying in a city centre hotel. Thanks Lynne, hope to return one day.

“Frampton Cottage” A quaint end of terrace cottage with off road parking. 10 minutes walk to the sea front and 5 minutes walk to the station. Inside, it's like stepping into someone's home and we felt at home straight away. There is a mix of the original interior and the new spacious kitchen/dining area. The linen and towels were really fresh and there was plenty of crockery etc. We had a great relaxing stay and will definitely be returning.

“A delightful stay.” What an amazing place, everything you could wish for. Beautiful garden, wonderful breakfast and perfect for our two dogs. Lovely walks on the doorstep. Local pub had great food and dog friendly. Victoria, the owner, was lovely and very welcoming. Would highly recommend Orchard Studio. It is a very special place. One review I read before I booked said it was uber cute and that is exactly what it was. Have to say it was just perfect. Many thanks.
