“Peaceful break away” Really enjoyed our time in the lodge, beautiful surroundings. The lodge was very clean and had all the essentials needed to enjoy a break away including comfy beds and a seating. Will visit again, recommend to others.

“Luxury and elegance in the centre of York” I booked this property as somewhere to meet up with friends for a short break in York. I was not disappointed. Firstly the location ... it is superb! The property is down a quiet street of Georgian houses seemingly in touching distance of the Minster. It is in close walking distance of all the main sites, shops and restaurants. Directions provided by the owners were concise and accurate and we could drop luggage off at the front door. They then directed us to a parking area a short distance away. Getting a dedicated parking space in a city which is predominately pedestrianised and traffic free was a real bonus. The house has been beautifully restored. It retains a wealth of period features which are complemented by antique furniture & interesting artwork. It is charming and elegant and has non of the formality or regimentation of a hotel. The dining kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances. The bedrooms are large & comfortable (with views of the Minster) & the bathrooms are modern & tasteful. There is even a laundry room in the cellar. To the rear is a courtyard where we sat for a drink after a busy day of sightseeing. The owners have gone to great lengths to make our stay as luxurious and stress free as possible. The comfortable beds have fine linens and the bathrooms plenty of towels and toiletries. There is lots of information on 'what to do in York' provided. There is even a keypad entry system so you don't have to worry about carrying (or losing) keys. The house can sleep up to eight and offers excellent value compared to other city centre accommodation. If you want a charming elegant house in the centre of York which oozes history yet provides modern and efficient amenities for a luxury stress free stay I cannot recommend this property more highly. It is a real gem! Many thanks to all at Boxing Hare for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable We will certainly be staying at No. 2 Procentors Court the next time we visit York.

“amazing home” Found this holiday home whilst searching for places to stay in cornwall. As soon as i saw the photos i couldn't look at anything else plus the price was very reasonable too! We weren't disappointed when we arrived as the house was even nicer than the photos. It was bigger than we thought it was going to be and the kitchen was just such a lovely room that we never even went out to eat as cooking felt so enjoyable in such a lovely space with views out to a lovely garden. The owners were great at getting in contact with us before we went and left a lovely greeting along with a few cornwall essentials i.e eggs,milk, biscuits. They also left a good guide on how things work around the house, maps to different supermarkets and tips on nice places to visit. To sum up everything about the holiday home was amazing and our only regret was never getting around to trying out the pizza oven. If we plan another holiday in cornwall i wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else. We loved it.

“A wonderful, relaxing place to stay - Perfect !” This was our first stay in a lodge and it was wonderful. The lodge is located in a secluded part of the park away from the main complex of lodges and not directly overlooked. It was reasonably spacious and very warm without any heating. It was also very well appointed and very comfortable - we could not fault it. It has everything you need, bring your own CDs, Dvds, Videos if you wish. The area is largely unspoilt and not touristy (except Clovelly). The location is Ideal, only a few minutes from the a38, which allows you to explore the rest of Devon and Cornwall. High points for us were coast walk from the NT carpark to Hartlant point (you can return via the road to savew time), tea and cake at Hartland point, Hartland Quay, Lynton and Lynmouth, Appledore, and the excellent Pasties from Pengally Pasties in Bude (wasn't impressed with Bude though. Local Morrisons were good, Waitrose too, but a bit out of the way. The lakes opposite the lodge are good for a walk, and you can fish there too. There is a medium sized garden and wonderful decked veranda. The area is good for cycling too - we wished we had discovered it when our children were younger. Ideal for couples, families, everyone. Ideal accommodation in an excellent location which has something for everyone - Recommended.

“Wonderful property” The house is excellent. it is clean,well equipped and the rooms are large and roomy with great views front and back. The gardens are lovely and large enough for kids to play in. The property is in a great position for the beach and Seaton. There are lots of places to visit in easy reach Beer, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth to name a few. The sea view from the lounge is superb and the beach hut is a great added bonus. I am definitely going to return with my family.

“A charming cottage in a beautiful and peaceful location” We had a family break here just after Christmas two couples and our toddler. From the moment we booked the owners were helpful and accommodating. The cottage itself is set in a lovely courtyard and is a great mix of traditional features and modern convenience. We had pretty much everything we need and enjoyed trips out and about. Seemed to be lots to do outdoors nearby,but we didn't have great weather. We would definitely come back, thank you Ken.

“Stunning accommodation for short or long break” The lodge is beautifully presented and maintained and in a great semi-rural location, but still within easy reach of the city. Friendly, family run and value for money. Choose this over a hotel for a little bit of peace and quiet if you are staying in or around Birmingham - it's just lovely.

“Beautiful relaxing cottage for a weekend getaway” I stayed at the cottage with my partner and we had a lovely time. The central location in Kendal was great and had the benefit of on street parking. The directions we'd been given were fine and we were soon parked up and entering the key code in the key safe. The cottage is a perfect size for a couple and was really cosy. We tend to look for places to stay with wood burning stoves and it was nice to see that there was a selection of logs and fire lighting equipment available. The front room had a nice sofa and an arm chair and a small TV with a selection of DVD's to go with it. I thought that was a nice touch. The kitchen was also great and had a little breakfast table to sit and eat at. There was plenty of pots and pans to cook with and we were left wanting nothing. There is a Booths supermarket a short walk down the hill so you can easily pop out and stock up without having to drive anywhere. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely too. Comfortable, clean and cosy. Couldn't fault any of it and altogether our stay was perfect. If I was going back to Kendall then I'd rent the cottage again. Highly recommended.

“Perfect escape from it all cottage.” Sat just outside Otterburn within the heart of Northumberland, the Granary is a brilliant base for exploring. Kate the owner has thought of everything you could need and is on hand with hints for places to go. Great views from the upside down layout, including sheep TV! Will definitely return. Can’t wait.
