“Clean, well maintained, pet friendly lodge in beautiful location.” This is the 3rd lodge we’ve stayed in on this site & by far the best. The owners live in another lodge on the site & are always available to assist with any issues you may have. The large fenced offf decking is ideal for sitting out without having to worry about your dogs wandering off. The lodge is situated on a beautiful,peaceful site that is in easy reach of the south lakes & the Lancashire Canal is only 1 mile away with lovely walks along the tow path.

“Perfect, well appointed, modern yet cosy lodge.” Just returned from a 3 night stay for my 50th Birthday. The lodge was easy to find from the emailed instructions, The park lies almost exactly between Alnwick and Morpeth. The park itself is small enough to feel local but big enough to have a nice walk round. The park has a small clubhouse which serves food and drinks - we had breakfast there before setting off home and it was good quality and fair price. The lodge itself is very nice, high quality furniture and fittings, big screen TV with full (movies and sports ) sky package. Freeview flatscreens in the bedrooms too. We also made use of the built in bluetooth speaker system which I connected my Ipad to for spotify. As others have mentioned the hottub is great - already set up at the correct temp before we arrived. Mel met us to check everything was in order and said to contact her directly if we needed anything. We loved the area taking our dog out during the day to explore with a bit of shopping in Morpeth for my wife thrown in too ! If you dont want to use the clubhouse then everything in the evenings will mean driving - I didnt want to do that so we ate lunch out and cooked at night and spent time in the hottub then with a movie or the football later on. For us it was perfect - we really enjoyed the break, we felt the price was more than fair considering the high class lodge and all the extras thrown in - the welcome pack was indeed very welcome. we will be back at either this lodge or one of the other 2 on the same park owned by the same family.

“Wow, excellent lodge” This lodge is really home from home, excellent location very private and 1st class thorougout very well equipped, 2 fishing pegs, Hot tub went down a treat, went as a family of 6 adults 1 small child, plenty of room, Ray always on hand if you needed anything but this place is 1st class he wasn't needed, we already booked for next year as none of us wanted to leave .

“Long Weekend Break” Absolutely beautiful place set in a very nice location. The lodge is very clean and set to a high standard. I booked this as a surprise for my fiancée and 3 year old son. It’s safe to say, it did not disappoint! I would recommend it to anyone and above all, I’ll certainly bare it in mind for the future. “Perfect!” Last minute decision to get away for the weekend and I am so glad I chose this beautiful cottage. “Lovely lodge and location for a break away” A group of four of us stayed here for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday. The lodge is located right next to one of the smaller lakes and has its own fishing stand. We made friends with lots of ducks! Great view ouf of the patio doors. We found the lodge very comfortable with tasteful decor, nice furniture and fittings and smart, clean bathrooms. The hot tub was great, especially on the clearer nights looking up to the stars. The owners were helpful and I'd definitely stay at Avocet Lodge again. We didn't want to leave!

“Woodpecker Lodge” My husband and disabled mother stayed at Woodpecker Lodge over this Easter weekend. i was stunned at the excellent accommodation with everything of the highest quality and standards. The disabled downstairs bedroom and wet room was ideal for my mom and with wide doors if wheelchair access is required. We also received a "Welcome Basket" from the owners who met us on arrival and were very friendly and kindly showed us a£round the property. They also took the time to leave a few essentials in the fridge for us to be getting on with which was also a generous touch I would recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to stay in an high standard of accommodation which was very comfortable, excellent standard of cleanliness and in a quiet location. Thank you for a wonderful stay

“Lovely Lodge” Lovely lodge. Set in beautiful grounds. Peaceful garden for our daughter to play safly in. The only 2 things that let it down for us is very noisy at nite when it rains on the roof and the traffic was noisy at nite on the busy road that runs a long side it. But over all a lovely place to stay.

“Family holiday” We had a great stay at valley lodge. My partners parents were over from Australia and it was a great place to stay with our 4 children and 5 adults. The one thing I will say is it's hard to find the lodge I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but we were driving round and round for ages but other than that we really did enjoy our stay and didn't want to come home.

“Beautiful” We arrived late at night with no problems finding the lodge as we used Google maps - typed 'exeter lodge Kennford' takes you straight to the front gates! My only downfall was not reading the welcome pack carefully as it tells you were to find the key but Nicky answered the phone instantly and the situation was resolved. The lodge was beautiful inside with all its features and querky designs along with the beautiful view of the city. I'm a real early bird so was up taking photos of all the wildlife around the lodge and the public footpath on the left as exiting the very front gates, we saw lots of pheasants, rabbits, Robins, hawks and the birds are singing away. The hot tub was perfect everytime it was used and watching the sunset is a must! There's not many lights around the hot tub so I would recommend a camping torch but the darkness really does show up the sky fully of stars so I can understand why none are there but the tub does light up and has a lovely mood setting. There was a courtesy note on the table explaining the lawn mower cable snapped and they were awaiting the part to arrive - this did not bother us and to be honest I didn't think it was too long, but as we left the lodge a chap (I assumed was Nicky other half) was so lovely and polite and asked if he could cut the grass whilst we were out and of course we said yes! Locally I recommend the seven stars pub for an amazing Sunday carvery and Paignton was a short 35 minutes away by car. So much more to explore but unfortunately was only there for the weekend. Would definitely 100% recommend! All the best Samantha & the girls

“Stunning lodge with beautiful views of the lake, very relaxing holiday.” Fantastic lodge with everything we could have wished for. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and enjoyed by all. Donna, the owner, was very friendly and helpful providing lots of information prior to and during our stay. There is plenty of seating on the decking and the hot tub is lovely to relax in at any time of day. Fantastic views over the lake all helped to make this a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

“A home from home” The owner has thought of everything to make your stay a pleasurable one..... with dvd's, books, toys and lots of information about things to do. Not only do they provide the lodge with a washing machine , dish washer and BBQ but also provide wash tablets for the washing machine & dish washer, along with charcoal and starter blocks for the BBQ. There was also a hairdryer, hand wash at every sink and toilet roll plus spares. Hand and bath towels provided as well as tea towels, bin bags etc.The lodge has a really homely feel with lots of lovely little touchs and lovely lighting. There is a tv in every room and a sound system for music. The photos don't do the lodge justice and its a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The hot tub was amazing and something the whole family enjoyed. The passes you still need to purchase to use the on site swimming pool, bar, restaurant etc but we didn't bother and instead used the heated lido at woodhall spa. I will definitely be returning in the near future and already recommended it to family and friends ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

“lovely view” This place was so cosy and warm, plenty of room and everything you needed was in this accommodation. I went when it was cold and really enjoyed it me and my granddaughter went swimming twice a day as we really loved the pool,it was lovely and warm and the steam room sauna and hot tub were just heaven. I would love to go back in the summer and see all the boats in the lake, sitting on the veranda glass of wine in my hand enjoying the wonderful view. My ten year old granddaughter cant wait to go back.

“Holiday Lodge in the Lovely Forest of Dean” We stayed at the Woodlands View Lodge, Easter 2015, This is a brand new holiday lodge with everything needed to make this feel home from home. All fittings and furniture are also new and are of excellent quality. Location is isolated as you would expect in the forest area which is why we booked it and is within easy walking distance of two award winning pubs, should you wish to use them. For mountain bike enthusiasts this is ideal as Cannop Cycle Centre is only 2 miles away and has numerous trails for all levels and abilities. We enjoyed our weekend break, cut off from work the moment we arrived and what better recommendation than we have booked again for a birthday break next month. Many Thanks to Sue and Rich.
