“Amazing” Ohh wow where do i start!!! From arriving to this perfect location to not wanting to go home everything is just perfect. “Perfect escape from it all cottage.” Sat just outside Otterburn within the heart of Northumberland, the Granary is a brilliant base for exploring. Kate the owner has thought of everything you could need and is on hand with hints for places to go. Great views from the upside down layout, including sheep TV! Will definitely return. Can’t wait.

“Cosy Base for exploring the peaks......” Great communication with Helen prior to and on the day of arrival, She's a lovely person and makes you feel very welcome and at home, also arrived to find a very nice breakfast hamper with Tea & Coffee etc also available, a nice thing to do. Chestnut Barn is very clean, cosy and welcoming, with everything you could want whilst away. A great little hide away for exploring the surrounding area (we walked the Monsal Trail starting at Monsal Head) and further into the Peak District. A very nice pub that allows dogs, with also a chip shop in the village (closes at 8pm on a Friday) and an indian restaurant / Take Away a little further up the road. Myself, Sarah & Bailey the goldendoodle really enjoyed our 2 night stay, thank you very much Helen.

“Top Accommodation thoroughly recommend” This is an absolute gem and the only bad thing about it was that we had to leave! Jenny, the owner, is the perfect hostess with great communication and a nice touch of wine, milk and biscuits when we arrived. The location is fabulous, just what we were looking for and is perfectly equipped with everything you need for a short or long break away. The two walk in showers are to die for and the whole place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We will definitely return

“Lovely Hideaway” After a bit of a journey via sat nav we arrived at the property to find we couldn't get in. Somewhere along the line we hadn't received the communication with directions and key access. After tracking Emily down we were all sorted. The house itself is lovely. Really clean spacious and well equipped. As mentioned in other reviews the creaky flooring really is an issue for anyone sleeping in the bedroom below. We had to creep carefully to avoid waking them. It's for this reason that I couldn't give 5 stars. I would like to recommend that it be noted that this property is only suitable for under 3's if you bring your own high chair etc. Other than that it was an enjoyable stay.

“High standard but still cozy!” So impressed with the high standard of everything and what a nice touch the fluffy bathrobes were. We spent a lot of time indoors because of the Easter weather, we lit the fire, opened the wine and had a splendid time!
