In the heart of the smallest city in England, this period Georgian house offers an ideal base for sampling the delights of Wells and exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. The end house in a row, it has been completely renovated to a high standard and unusually for a city property has a lovely, peaceful, mature garden.

It is a pretty house with character, it has a lovely, light dining room with glass door that overlooks the garden. The kitchen is modern, well equipped with wooden work surfaces and slate floor. The sitting room is extremely spacious and comfortable with thoughtful decoration. The house is lit well with thoughtful touches and is always kept extremely clean. The main bedroom is very pretty and light with a recently installed king size bed. The house has a wood burner stove and central heating and is warm and cosy in the winter

Apart from the magnificent cathedral (housing one of the earliest mechanical clocks in existence and Vicars Close-the oldest continuously inhabited medieval street in Europe). Wells is a beautiful market town offering a range of cafes/bars/pubs/restaurants and some lovely shops. Wells itself is within easy reach of Bristol, Bath and the limestone based Mendip Hills-offering attractions such as Bristol Zoo, the haunted Wookey Hole Caves, Clarks Village, The Roman Baths, Cheddar Gorge, the SS Great Britian, Clifton Suspension Bridge, fantastic shopping and so much more!

"Beautiful cottage in a lovely little town"

I stayed at the Green House with my husband and our two sons and had a lovely holiday. The cottage was spotless, very comfortable and spacious and had everything we could ever want. We enjoyed lots of beautiful walks around Wells, wich is a charming town, as well as trips to nearby Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge. Simply breathtaking! I would certainly recommend this cottage!
