Description from owner

Description

In the heart of the smallest city in England, a few minutes walk from all amenities, this pretty, period Georgian house offers an ideal base for sampling the delights of Wells, for absorbing the historic atmosphere. and exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. Unusually for a city property it has a lovely, peaceful, mature garden.

It is a pretty house with character, in a street where all the houses are similarly interesting. It has a lovely, light dining room with glass door that overlooks the garden where there is a table and chairs. The kitchen is modern, well equipped with wooden work surfaces and slate floor. The sitting room is extremely spacious and comfortable with thoughtful decoration. The house is lit well with thoughtful touches and is always kept extremely clean. The main bedroom is very pretty and light with a recently installed king size bed. The house has a wood burner stove and central heating and is warm and cosy in the winter

“Beautiful home away from home”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2016

Lovely cottage in a fab location in Wells. Very comfortable & well equipped. Close to the centre of Wells, so all amenities are on your doorstep, but quiet enough to feel like a country retreat. We stayed w/c 13th Aug with beautiful weather so ate virtually every meal in the garden. We will definitely book again!

“Beautiful cottage in a lovely little town”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2012

I stayed at the Green House with my husband and our two sons and had a lovely holiday. The cottage was spotless, very comfortable and spacious and had everything we could ever want. We enjoyed lots of beautiful walks around Wells, wich is a charming town, as well as trips to nearby Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge. Simply breathtaking! I would certainly recommend this cottage!
