A favourite with smaller families, country lovers and dog walkers, this roomy modern farmhouse cottage is purpose-designed for holiday use. It has the advantage of being easy to run, but is built in traditional Cotswold style with gable windows and hood moulds. Adjoining Over Court and built to the same high specifications, the two cottages can be let together to provide comfortable family accommodation for up to nine and are a favourite for family reunions. The cottage stands in a splendid raised position commanding distant views over Owlpen's gently sloping valley and rich woods. The gardens are surrounded by pasture fields.
INTERIOR
Downstairs a porch leads to the hall with a modern pine kitchen beyond. The light and spacious sitting/dining room, with three sets of windows providing sweeping views over the valley, has an open fireplace and is ideal for entertaining.
There is an interconnecting door to Over Court cottage in the entrance hall, which can be opened up to make it into one large cottage for larger parties. The cottage is centrally-heated.
Upstairs there is a perfectly voluptuous 18th-century Hepplewhite king-sized four-poster bed in the main bedroom. The second bedroom has twin beds. There is also a shower room.
The cottage is situated in the heart of the valley farm pastures directly under the majestic beech woods and above the Manor farm buildings and car park.
