Our Wonderful Home for Three Months

We wanted a place in rural England for an extended (3 month) stay. There could not have been a better choice than "The Cottage"! Checked ALL the boxes: First Chipping Campden is one of the loveliest and historic towns in England, and well located for exploring England. And this cottage is just a few steps from the historic 15th century market at the heart of town. Yet it is secluded from the main street and surrounded by greenery and a with a large gorgeous garden. Hostess Sarah could not be more welcoming and her mother is charming and keeps the garden beautiful. The Cottage itself is top notch - great new kitchen with lots of room, comfy living room, and THREE bedrooms upstairs (2 full baths). November Cheltenham Races weekend, no accommodation to be found except (can’t understand why) this little gem. No event price increase. Just a great flat, great bed, linen, loads and loads of extras, really really warm. Just fabulous and better than pics. Wide firm metal staircase up to three flats, this is first. Other two had no one in residence. Lounge, kitchen and double bed on ground floor, twin and bathroom upstairs. All small but beautifully formed. Very close to town centre. Back of NOEL arms. But in dark ended up walking out of house to left instead of right and ended up taking 10 minutes to find town centre! Found Chinese takeaway though and had lovely tasty meal. Loved all lovely chipping Camden, two supermarkets in 1 minute, deli, butcher etc. Great gift shops and loads of walk books, ideas and even the doomsday book with number of ploughs in local villages to read in this lovely lovely cosy cottage. A lovely place to stay

We arrived to find milk and lemon cake in the fridge and a vase of beautiful daffodils on the window sill. We immediately felt welcome. The cottage is extremely well equipped and clean. Tourist information, an interesting selection of books, and an extremely thorough information book were also available. Well situated on a quiet street, the location is handy to many places of interest. We found only one thing that disappointed us.
