Location description from owner

The Cotswolds region

Tewkesbury is well located to explore the Cotswolds, Forest of Dean, and the Wye Valley or heading up the Avon to Stratford Upon Avon.

Cheltenham is a ten minute drive away, so it can be an good base for Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Wharf House is only a 10 minute drive from the M5, so it's very easy to get around the whole of the Cotswold region.

Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury is a beautiful medieval town with lots of shops, restaurants and pubs.

It is also unique in having two rivers converging there, the Severn and the Avon, so there are many riverside walks to explore.

Tewkesbury has a fantastic food festival at the beginning of May and the largest battle re-enactment weekend in July.

“Fabulously located, spotlessly clean and stylishly well equipped property.”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2016

Wharf house is located with stunning views of the river Avon and landscape beyond yet right in the heart of the beautiful town of Tewkesbury. The property was ample for a family of four, (with two pre-teens) I think five would be a bit of a squeeze. The welcome food pack, including a bottle of Cava was a lovely touch. All the appliances worked well with an array of household products available to use to give a home from home feeling. The only downside was the dinning table with drop leaf sides was too large for the space provided and the chairs had to be kept in a cupboard; a smaller table and chairs would be more appropriate to avoid the children having to eat on the sofa outside of meal times.

Thank you for your review, I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay. I will look into the dining options, ideally I'd love to build in a dining area in the window seat area.

“We'd thoroughly recommend Wharf House”

Reviewed 23 Apr 2014

My family had a brilliant week at Wharf house. The location was perfect, walking distance to the high street shops and restaurants but because of the river location it felt peaceful and relaxing. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished and the rooms are light and airy. The owners made us feel very welcome with the fridge stocked with essentials (including a bottle of fizz!) and they popped in to say hi once we'd settled in. The kids loved the TV in the bedroom and we were very happy with all the little extras such as dressing gowns, toiletries and hairdryers as it made our packing lighter.
