Description from owner
Nestled in the heart of the village, Little Dorrit benefits from its location right opposite the harbour front. Our eye for detail and passion for collecting has re-instated all the aesthetic charm of 'bygone days' in this Grade II listed Cobblers Cottage. The decor is in period style with antiques and curios. A Sitting room with comfortable leather chesterfield and matching chairs. pine chests and free standing dressers display choice pieces of china and copper. Wi-fi is also available at the cottage
The Fully equipped kitchen leads out onto a sheltered courtyard with plants and garden furniture for outdoor relaxation. Just step outside the door and you can stroll or relax on the two harbour beaches, for the more energetic, the coastal path will take you to Lamorna, or a more sedate stroll into Newlyn.
The Cornwall region
The West of Cornwall area as a holiday destination, offers something for everybody, for those seeking general activities or just relaxation. The area is known for its outstanding beauty and truly magnificent coastline. Spoilt for choice of the many sandy beaches and famous coves to the wooded valley of Lamorna and creeks of the
Helford river. Within easy reach is St Michaels Mount and many other National Trust houses and gardens for
those wishing to explore some Cornish history. The Eden project just a jaunt up the coast is well worth a visit together with the Maritime Museum at Falmoth which has recently opened.
A must would be to visit the open air Minack Theatre perched on the cliff tops at Porthcurno with breathtaking
views. The Tate Gallery at St Ives, Poldark Mine and the Seal Sanctuary, to name but a few are all worth a visit.
Mousehole is a picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall, between Penzance and Lands End.
A hundred years ago Mousehole (pronounced Mowzel) was a bustling port, crowded with local fishing boats
landing pilchards, this has declined over the years but Mousehole has retained much of its old world charm.
Its narrow streets are filled with small shops. galleries and restaurants. Local cottage built with local stone huddle together around the inner edge of the harbour. Dylan Thomas described the village as the 'loveliest
in England'. Just offshore from the harbour is St Clements Isle, a small cluster of rocks when an ancient
hermit is said to have lived and a few hundred yards along the coast from the village is a huge cave which is believe to give rise to the strange name of the village.
The surrounding area offers a wealth of things to do.
